If Chelsea pip Liverpool (LOL but roll with it anyway) Will Liverpool regain that place in the CL by winning the final against Real or have the rules changed now?
-
Genuinely happy for him and not gutted that this didn't happen at Chelsea. We never built the team to his strengths, Liverpool did and its turned out incredible for them. He's having the kind of season where everything goes his way.

Emerson and Alonso are enough to get by next season

First choice Left Back

This. Chelsea is no longer an attractive option for players. Selling Costa and Matic without signing replacements beforehand shows that the club is too proud to accept that they are no longer an attractive option. They thought they could identify and bring in the players they wanted in the summer but Lukaku preferred United, Danilo preferred City, deals for several others did not happen. Hope it has learnt its lesson

Surprised at the shtick Christensen and Rudiger are getting. They were OK but the team completely collapsed once again after a strong start. It seems the team can't keep up with the intensity of pressing for 90 mins and has periods where players simply fall back. Not upgrading the wingbacks and signing Bakayoko has cost the club this season. No Champions League, No Conte, Possibly No Hazard. Its looking as bad as it can get. . I hope the club is not indecisive again in the transfer market but if January was any indication, I don't have much hope.

Ten point gap to Liverpool Spurs implosion our only hope now

Chelsea XI v Leicester - Caballero; Azpilicueta (c), Christensen, Rudiger; Moses, Bakayoko, Kante, Alonso; Willian, Morata, Hazard Subs - Eduardo, Cahill, Zappacosta, Emerson, Fabregas, Pedro, Giroud Good: Cahill has fallen out of favour, Fabregas benched as well. Bad: Alonso has not yet.

Well. Bit much no? When were Arsenal even near the semifinals? 09/10 - Lost to a strong Inter side 10/11 - Fergie's United 12/13 - Well.. 14/15 - PSG 15/16 - Shit had hit the fan by this time 17/18 - Barca It took good teams to beat Chelsea. and there were two good runs in there as well. Not all doom and gloom
-
What is the point of 'We gave a good account of ourselves?' Criminal defending and goalkeeping
-
Kante needs to have the game of his life.
-
Luiz does not belong there
-
Conte is not someone who usually prepares a team to just defend but yesterday was awful
-
It's a weird loss to take. Not much wrong apart from the goal conceded in the first half. Completely dropped off in the second. Have to question Conte about the Hazard substitution when the game was 1-1. Did the same vs Arsenal.
-
Morata was onside. Nothing going our way either
-
FUCK OFFFFFF
-
Hazard off. Why?
-
Ah, Christensen hurt in the buildup to that goal
-
Apart from one Sanchez chance, Chelsea has completely bossed this so far
-
I think this Barca team can be beaten at Camp Nou
-
Strong end to the half Still think Morata for Pedro and Chelsea will win the game
-
Drinkwater. Just like the last time around when Ramires, Meireles Mikel and Lampard started in a packed midfield. I think a 3-4-3 leaving out Fabregas gives the team the energy needed to press Barcelona. That means the only one able to create is Hazard but it is a chance that Conte has to take.
-
Pedro was taken off early in the second half on Friday. Possibly saving him for Barca? Also, I am certain Morata will start. He is our best striker and the effort he puts in by running the channels and closing down defenders will be needed vs Barca Giroud will be an excellent foil to bring on in the latter stages if the game is on the edge or if Chelsea has to go for goals

I think Fabregas should not start
