  1. In a year, there will be new GKs who force their way into the reckoning you'd hope The board are gambling on Sanchez ironing out his game but I do see the GK market this summer was pretty middling. City have signed two keepers for good money but I'm not convinced by either signing
  2. Unlike Arsenal and Liverpool, Chelsea have not demonstrated they are good enough to come close to 85-90 points.
  3. I watched two average performances benefiting from referees chalking off goals. I expect a healthy gap between us and Arsenal/Liverpool by November. We have good depth but we are short of genuine attacking quality in the XI, especially if Delap is out for a while
  4. West Ham didn't show up. I wouldn't read anything into that game. We've struggled vs Fulham and Palace.
  5. The loan fee is nearly half the transfer fee we bought Jackson for. Will get a permanent deal elsewhere next year whether or not it's Bayern imo. He's a good player and we looked much worse without him last year. He's got a lot of useful tools needed in attackers.
  6. CB Igor's move to Palace has collapsed. Liverpool waiting to see if Guehi can complete move now - dependent on Palace signing a replacement
  7. And we are not closing the gap anytime soon by becoming a player trading vehicle so how can we say the "club is fine"
  8. They canceled each other out but they looked a level above Chelsea to me. Pace, power, dynamism across the pitch even with key players missing
  9. Standing still is going backwards in the Premier League. Look at Arsenal and Liverpool's spending and their attacking options. Are you seriously suggesting Chelsea are close to Arsenal/Liverpool right now?
  10. We were on the right track picking up Delap Pedro and Hato but I think we are a couple of players short to put together a 80-90 point campaign. Not enough quality in attack to overwhelm teams
  11. We have a game every three days or so for a stretch - I'd say Jackson is first change in the league games and starts the CL games with Guiu coming on
  12. That is if he even gets on the ball Lot of the game was passing by him
  13. I think both Jackson and Guiu are striker options. With Pedro able to play behind them
  14. Both Jackson and Guiu back. No one joining. Joao Pedro to play ST and CAM. This is the plan I think and will be a quiet deadline day
  15. Guiu was third choice behind Mayenda and Isidor at Sunderland Might as well be that here and get more game time
  16. I hope they have a club lined up for NJ Villa don’t have money but could do the loan Bayern were doing
  17. Source is Plettigoal - I would wait since he was not really accurate in reporting just yesterday on this deal
  18. Villa will be busy till the deadline but doubt they'd sell Rogers imo
  19. That's true. Arsenal seem to be comfortable away at Liverpool even without Saliba Odegaard Saka Havertz - they have assembled a good squad
  20. None of the title challengers look good Looks like it will be another year when the title winner will be 80-85 points.
  21. Barca will ask for a good price but let Fermin Lopez go I think How is this board in this situation on every deadline day ?
  22. If Jackson is sold then that's a good outcome out of all this drama. Better than a loan with no obligation. We do have options to sign a striker before the deadline - Emegha or Bakwa from Strasbourg or Wissa if Brentford let him go for decent fee
  23. Dont think going into the market in this panic state is a good idea. Lot of teams have shown you can have good attacks without a power forward - PSG and Liverpool last year
  24. Did not create anything The ambition should be challenging for the league and this group is far from it
