It seems Jurien Timber declined a move to United. Their situation is so bad that their new manager isn't even able to attract his Ajax players to join.
Don't see Boehly, Tuchel and co being the type to sign glamour players. The rumoured list of targets are all a coach's dream worker types -Rice, Sterling, Jesus, Raphinha
What is so worrying about Arsenal's business? Sterling is better than Jesus at the same price, Arsenal are way off Raphinha's valuation. I don't know about the Portuguese league player they signed.
Chelsea didn't have a board in place a month ago and are now handling everything else (sponsorships, megastore) on top of recruitment. I like Boehly's decisiveness and back the coach approach and don't think that the recruitment team has been slow so far even though that's all you read on this forum these days.
Club also seems wary of foreign attackers after seeing Ziyech, Werner, Pulisic go bust in the last few years. Signing Sterling means we have Mount, Gallagher, CHO, Sterling and could field an entirely English attack.
Yes, he's way more consistent than any attacker we have right now.
The only consideration is can he make it work in the black hole that is a Chelsea attack? He thrived in Liverpool and City sides that had a very attacking style and tons of forward players.

Tchouameni, Renato Sanches, Kalvin Philips going this window
Seems like Chelsea is waiting for Rice
Their scouting department would never land on Lukaku and Saul as summer signings. We have to be cautious about looking forward to their downfall even if they lose Mane and Salah. Even in 2020-21 their worst season in Klopp's tenure, they finished above Chelsea.
In this Matt Law story, Sterling is priced at 50-60m pounds. Jesus also priced at 50m pounds. The fee can be lower since both are in the final year of their contracts.
