  1. I like the signings and agree we need them but a 200m rebuild with 1 attacking signing and no change in midfield?
  2. Its overkill. With Cucurella £ 50m, Gvardiol/Fofana 70m, Dumfries/Walker Peters 30m, Slonina, 12m - total spending goes to £ 240m + and nearly 200m of it on defence.
  3. 30-35 mil for Walker-Peters? I swear they rip you off once they hear Chelsea's bidding
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong but Daily Mail broke the Cucurella news.
  5. Leicester not even trying to replace Kasper Schmeichel is a sign - I am always optimistic but I think they will accept a good bid
  6. Covers the Chilwell concern + a galaxy brain solution for LCB search at 50m
  7. I don't worry about his assist numbers. He aces the technical requirement we should be considering before making any signing.
  8. Cucurella signing suggests to me Tuchel is not planning to switch to 4 at the back anytime soon. Hope Colwill the other way is only a loan
  9. Especially when Fulham are negotiating four deals for CBs.
  10. There is an actual offer. That is reason enough to let him go! Ampadu, Colwill are there for cover
  11. Ornstein article - Leicester value him at £80-85m. Chelsea hoping to include players, targeting both Fofana and Dumfries
  12. Yup. Its up to the club to put down 70m + Not sure if they'll do it. Preparing myself for Max Kilman on deadline day
  13. Have we actually ruled out @Tomo is not connected to Thomas Tuchel
  14. Yep. Club has to factor that they didn't get this done early in the window and spend more than they intended to. Will need this signing to think about 4-3-3 in games.
  15. Will take similar 60m+ figure for Gvardiol or Fofana and both clubs usually tend to sell if the offer is good.
  16. Should be all over this since we are considering selling Alonso, Werner, Ziyech. Left-footed. Has a bit of bulldog about him. Plays LWB, LF, even as striker.
  17. There was talk of club exploring the backup GK market- Strakosha was mentioned before he joined Brentford. Will need a backup keeper for this season and can't have Bettinelli as GK 2.
  18. Everton are not interested in Chelsea’s Ross Barkley (The Athletic) Knew the rumor was too good to be true
  19. He's not blameless but this is misplaced. Agree - wasting time on Sarr, Kennedy, Bats especially over Vale, Gilmour was pointless. But some perspective on the recruitment. Tuchel is not a recruiter and he was pushed into the role because of the circumstances - sale at the end of the season and no time to get a director in place. If we go fishing for quality players - Hakimi last season, Sterling, Raphinha, K2 De Ligt - we have to accept Chelsea is not the big draw it once was for most players. Among Tuchel's targets, only Kimpembe (he has coached him before) and Ake (didn't bid aggressively anyway) were the ones that were questionable. Dembele we were interested in but he signed for Barca even with a wage drop (would have been another pointless chase) and Kounde, I am not convinced is a huge mistake on Tuchel's part.
  20. His technique reminds of Havertz
  21. Think there are better options than Pavard for the RCB role. He has to be the last option in the list if we are targeting Gvardiol, Fofana, Skriniar
