29, there are signs of slowdown and I don't think he was ever essential. It is like the Kante decision in summer 2021. I think its a good idea to sell and rebuild
-
I don't get the Mane rumours if they are true. Is he the CF they are targeting? We already have so many wingers and the squad needs to be cut down a lot
-
I think this is going to be the price. Mac Allister and Rice both going for 80m. Hard pass for me. I get the logic of freeing up Enzo in midfield but I'm not convinced Rice is who we want when we will be faced with parked bus teams. Even the DM should be a better ball player

Are Bayern really selling Gravenberch? He's also an option. And so is Lavia for midfield. Hojlund, even at 20, seems special and will be Bayern or Real-bound in two years time. He is the only young striker to consider - Other than him I would rather sign someone in their prime - Toney, Osimhen
-
We already have Enzo who plays the deeper role and is comfortably better than Rice. Gavi if Barca are selling or Barella.
-
He's in London with his family according to photos that surfaced on social media. We should be getting confirmation this week

Always said it was an inspired appointment

We'll be in the league next year!
-
Mendy has not signed a contract. Mostly leaving
-
Barely taller than Kepa. Is he that good ?
-
How did the owners overlook this? Shows their lack of understanding of the game and that's a big problem for all future decisions too.
-
thank you Cesc

Club is taking weeks to decide on the manager but I wonder what was the due diligence done to hire Frank? Worst of the decisions taken this year
-
scenes when we survive relegation on the final day due to results elsewhere 🥳
-
Glad that Spurs have taken the attention away from Chelsea a bit this month
-
Even by accident we aren't winning a game. Won't be surprised if we end up on 39 pts
-
From the quotes he meant that he signed for Chelsea too early in the season. They are no longer in Europe or as attractive a proposition as when he signed the deal.
-
Hahaha good one I am hoping team is able to get a result on the final day and avoid relegation

Football moved on from Mourinho longtime ago. At least top level English football is not suited for his style. New manager has to compete with maniacs like Klopp and Pep who drill pressing patterns and attacking movement to their players. We need a coach who's able to think of the way the game is played today. Even in 2013 when Mou returned, his methods worked for one year. But the club lost two of its best youngsters in that period. I can see the same repeating in this decade if Mou is brought back.

It was theirs. The owners themselves have admitted mistakes were made which is usually a big sign https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-04-21/todd-boehly-says-mistakes-made-in-first-year-at-Chelsea-fc They had good ideas but I wish they used a completely different approach and waited for the right players when players like De Ligt, Kounde, Raphinha turned down the club. Newcastle's new ownership did the opposite of what Boehly, Eghbali did. They signed Bruno, Trippier and few squad players like Willock, Targett in the first window and bided their time before making significant moves like Isak. It's working out really well for them.

There are 41 on the books? 😬There is a lot of work in the summer. I agree with most of the 20 picked to sell. Would keep Broja around in a Nketiah-type 2nd option role. And find a way to replace one of Mendy/Kepa with an upgrade keeper.

Keep Poch away from the club and don't associate him with this disaster season at any cost. The players have clearly given up, have zero motivation now. Pochettino joining now means there is a risk of the fans turning on him before he even properly begins. Let Poch start work in June and trim this squad to 24-25 players, get a proper pre-season.

I can see Mase turning and signing a new contract here. It's a fresh start with Poch
