  1. I wouldn't put it past BlueCo to be asking ChatGPT for transfer targets
  2. The rest of it might turn out that way but Cucurella? I think he's staying
  3. Most of the top clubs have a footballing structure that doesn't give managers full control of transfers. Even great managers who can handle the coaching and on-field aspects can be bad judges of transfers - Conte 2017 was an example, Tuchel viewed Lukaku as a good fit after Haaland and Kane. I think the structure is fine but their strategy of buying expensive young players has cost us several years when the Premier League has had the best buying power in Europe.
  4. Now that US has started a war, hopefully the UK govt bans US owners in the Premier League
  5. We need this - the board cannot get away with another summer where they weaken the squad
  6. 100% we won't keep a clean sheet - will make this super difficult
  7. Sporting 3-0 Bodo Glimt in the early kickoff btw. 3-3 and headed to extra time
  8. The only one of our top players I can see leaving in the summer. There will be clubs interested in him.
  9. Don't see an obvious market for Cucurella since our high value sales in the last 5 years have been exclusively to our English rivals - Arsenal (Kai, Noni), Man U (Mason), Villa (Maatsen), Newcastle (Lewis Hall). I can't see an English club coming in for him this summer. La Liga clubs, Bayern etc are all not coming in for high value players which is one of the big flaws of BlueCo policies that they thought that there will be a market for these exciting young signings we make.
  10. Not regardless of experience but with experience. It is clearly showing in the number of red cards and inability to manage phases of the game. We really had a lot of players in the PL that were potential targets last summer - Guehi, Semenyo, Cunha, Mbeumo. The only signing we made who had 3-4 seasons of PL experience was Joao Pedro and it shows.
  11. presumably he can't write change the owners because he might lose his limited access at the club
  12. With Maresca at the CWC, we had worked out that going over the top was better and targeted the right hand side. Liam has done well since taking over but the wrong calls made last night before and during the game.
  13. Ten clean sheets this season and should be a lot more but for set piece defending vs Burnley/Wolves etc. Even for his limitations, Sanchez is having a good season
  14. I hope this settles the Sanchez vs Jorgensen debate. Sanchez has had a solid season and should have a lot more cleansheets to his name if we had any semblance of a normal defense.
  15. Wonder if it is better to go with the midfield 3 that has worked well - Enzo Caicedo Santos
  16. Hard to believe they intend to win the PL soon when the summer incomings are looking like Penders, Quenda, Emegha and possibly a CB Even if some of them seem to be quality youngsters, you just can't expect clinical performances over a 38-game season with such a young squad.
  17. The draw gives room for rotation during the fixture crunch
  18. Lovely. 3 points off United and Villa who face each other next
  19. This is not the City team from 2023 Almost the entire XI is made up of players that came in the last couple of years with the exception of Haaland
