  1. Our first offer is £43m and Rennes are asking for £56m. Think this deal might happen.
  2. All of them would kick up a fuss if Guehi is signed and is on 50-100k more pw. You think they are worth between 200 and 250 but if the club signs Guehi for 300 that won't matter and they'll be asking for a raise or leave the club. A 6-7 year deal on 300k pw wages is a 100m dent on wages alone btw. I can understand why we are not in the Guehi fight. Looks like it will be Jacquet from Rennes anyway
  3. Is his technique good? Lot of the time the metrics and data show up athletic defenders but mostly without technique or awareness - like Disasi
  4. Do people even believe these briefs? Arsenal signed 2 CBs in that time who would both walk into our XI
  5. I could understand the interest in Dean Huijsen in the summer but BlueCo have lost the plot since we didn't sign him. Quite unbelievable they think another French youngster is what this squad needs.
  6. I agree we need to upgrade and I cannot believe he is the keeper for the 3rd season running now But he has the second highest clean-sheets this season and the stat about most errors leading to goals is a small comparison pool - Only few GKs have been starting week in and week out for last 2 seasons because teams like City, West Ham, Bournemouth, Brentford and United changed keepers and few others didn't play regularly all the time (Pope, Alisson, Sels) Honestly, he is having a purple patch with a very poor defense.
  7. You can't compare Chelsea and City. Their revenue is much more + they're higher in the table. We sign Guehi for that wage, 4 of our top players will want raises or will want to leave. Marmoush is apparently on the way out and Reijnders and Cherki haven't been regular starters. Absolutely agree we need to buy CB but it doesn't have to be Guehi for stupid money. There will be lot of options - like Hincapie in the summer and Senesi or Van de Ven who wants to leave Spurs. Or one of the high rated young CBs like Ordonez.
  8. I said majority are average. Only Donnarumma has actually settled in as a clear first choice player. You're right that players aren't daft. Why would Guehi accept 200-250k pw at Chelsea when City is coming in with a higher offer and have injuries at LCB to cover? We can sign a better CB with the same overhead costs of Guehi - 20m transfer fee and 300k wages (70-80m on a 5 year contract) - without blowing our wage structure. We can go for Murillo for example.
  9. These briefs to the media are not helping Rosenior's image 😁
  10. City have signed Khusanov, Victor Reis, Nico González, Marmoush, Ait Nouri, Reijnders, Cherki, Trafford, Donnarumma, Semenyo, and now Guehi That's a whole XI of players in the last one year. And a majority of them are average.
  11. 300k pw wages. I can't complain about us not getting into this. We can sign a better CB than Guehi for that money.
  12. Wage is higher since transfer fee is lower. We were never in the mix.
  13. Are there even any more loyal BlueCo bandits left? Seems pretty clear they're clueless and are managing their PR
  14. Senesi, Sven Botman or Micky Van de Ven? Edit - Oops. Botman just signed a new contract
  15. Finally egos are being swallowed and they see what this team needs Hope they don’t sign some wonderkid now. Need a mature CB signing to get us through the season.
  16. I think Sanchez has had a solid season and every goalkeeper has the odd day where they make mistakes. He's one of the few who's managed to have a solid season despite the circus at the club and especially working with 2 random and genuinely awful CBs every game.
  17. Actually new coach discovering the same problems - like the issues with passing out the back with our CBs - Took Maresca a while before he directed Sanchez to play the ball in the air and into pockets of space that open up because of the opposition press. We are restarting with Liam now
  18. BlueCo need to pack up and leave for the squad they've assembled.
  19. Their backups are better than our starters.
  20. It is a sad irony that the owners who obsess about injury management have signed some of the most injury-prone players
  21. 5 signings like this is why we don't have funds for 1 game-changing signing. BlueCo will never change.
  22. Villa didn't make a permanent offer it appears
  23. Unlikely he has any interest in the circus here
