  1. How the fuck did his value go up by 7-27M in a month? I know it's deadline day and everything, but the day after is 5.5 months until deadline day again.
  2. That's a possibility. Maybe he'll be underpaid in 4 years time. Matt Law was one of the only people saying that Kovacic had an option to purchase in the loan deal. Might not be on his A-game today.
  3. Bats out on loan. Willian for Martial. Fekir in. In the next 18 hours. Go! In all honesty, I'd be shocked if there were any more incoming players.
  4. Kante and Hazard are going to get huge raises. This would still make Kepa the 3rd highest paid player at the club. Which I can't see. Maybe he got himself a great deal (good for him). But, I'm going to remain sceptical.
  5. This is where I don't think that the wages Law is reporting are correct. I can't see him being on higher wages than everyone on this list, except Hazard https://www.totalsportek.com/football/chelsea-player-salaries/
  6. I think he is talking about the fee being amortized. I was looking and haven't seen much about what his wages are.
  7. Hey. A deal where both sides win. How about that?
  8. The reason I didn't believe any of the reports saying we had an option to buy, is because none of them ever reported a fee.
  9. Possibly. That seems the least likely though, and I don't think we're going to get Martial or Fekir either.
  10. Unless it means that Fekir or Martial are coming in.
  11. the other thing that people don't take in to account are the wages. Only after seeing the transfer fee + wages + contract length are you able to compare the prices of 2 players. Alisson (who will be forever linked with Kepa) 66M + 77K/week on a 6 year deal = 15M/season TBo = 140K/week = 7.3M this season (I'm not sure if they make adjustments to the original transfer fee for contract extensions, but it would be a small adjustment if any) We'll see what Kepa's deal looks like.
  12. Pedulla was the only one with Sarri updates. The only one who said it was still on when everyone else said it was dead. People were copying his links. Hot days 48 hours Blue smoke. His time frames were well off, but he was the only one pushing the actual outcome. He's got some sort of a connection with Ramadani who has been helping us with transfers.
  13. We're done. Courtois situation dealt with. Midfield strengthened. Sarri in. Can't see us with any more ins. Outs still have a couple of weeks (Bakayoko). Maybe DD and Zouma out on loan (they should).
  14. I'm 100% sure that he does in fact want him. I'm 150% sure that he won't get him.
  15. I think the side effect is getting Kovacic on loan. Which means that we don't have to buy a midfielder, which means we have more funds for a keeper.
  16. The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/aug/07/chelsea-kepa-arrizabalaga-athletic-bilbao-record The Spanish club [Madrid] have offered the unsettled Croatia midfielder as a sweetener to ensure their pursuit of Courtois reaches a positive conclusion. Kovacic has made clear a desire to play more regularly and will be permitted to leave for the season. Chelsea would not have an option to make the move permanent next summer, with Real considering him a long-term successor for his compatriot, Luka Modric. That deal, too, could be confirmed on Wednesday.
  17. It does give us a year to look for the right player. Maybe we can negotiate a fee with Madrid during the course of the year. An option to buy would have been best. Bayern did it with James, and with Coman. Shame we couldn't do the same. But, he has to give a shit if he wants more time at Madrid, which works for us. It's also an upgrade for us now. It's better than buying some crap for 40M, for sure. Maybe Barkley or RLC take to the role and we don't need anyone next season. It keeps our options open. Though if we had a buy clause, it would open our options up even more. I think Real are hesitant to sell since they don't know Modric's situation right now.
  18. I still see him as a B2B player. He's a bit clumsy, but if he could work on his defensive side, his power would make him a lot to handle in a B2B role.
  19. I agree. The outgoing transfer have been very slow, no links except for Baka today. Baks can leave after our window closes, so that's okay. But, DD and Moses probably aren't leaving the PL, so if there haven't been any links, I don't think they'll be leaving. I thought Moses has been terrible (again) as a winger this pre-season. Could possibly sell him to Italy since they use wing backs a lot and that's his best role.
  20. Okay. Today's moves were nice and everything. But, what have you done for me lately? Willian for Martial, and Fekir or Baily in for a swap with Bakayoko. C'mon board, pull your fingers out and get it done.
  21. If Roman wanted to go "Bond villain" he could offer Courtois' ex a job at the club (for big wages) and have her move to London. We'd all get a chuckle out of that.
  22. I think so. He'd played every match in pre-season. I think he was rested today so he would be fresh for Saturday.
  23. That other teams have been linked with. Who needs a scouting department?
