Essien looked slow mid-week when he came on, and of course that's because his just recovered from his injury, but sad to say I don't think we'll see Essien back to what he was a few years ago.

You've got to manage this situation better. The coaching stuff must make a decision wether or not they want some of this older stars to be in the team or not. You have to sit down and talk to the player and let them know where you see them at and what role they will play in the team. If they don't like it then you have no other choice but to sell them.
