I've never seen Hernandez scored a decent goal. All his goals come from taps-ins inside the 6-yard box. Shits me to tears.

You want good depth in your squad. Sure Ivan can start as our Right back but in a long season plus injuries and suspensions that could occur we want a good right back to be able to come in. Not sure if Sam would be up to it if Ivan suffered a bad injury and was out for awhile.

New Caledonia and Samoa should come out of Group A, while Group B is the toughest, New Zealand will make it through, but hard to pick out of Fiji and Solomon Islands going through with them. Player to watch 11 - Roy Krishna, striker for Fiji, 24 year old was lined up to sign with PSV in 2009 but didn't sign because he didn't feel he was ready for a move to Europe yet. He has scored 14 goals from his 19 caps for Fiji.

We were will setup and organised. Cole was my MOTM, Cahill and Ramires were both fantastic too. Kept a clean sheet and got a goal, it is a fantastic result, but they're is still a lot of work to be done. Don't care how much possession Barcelona have, just as long as they don't score, I couldn't careless. You would probably think we'll need a goal at the nou camp though.
-
I really felt sorry for Wigan, we didn't deserve to win this game at all.
-
Shit performance, but who cares, we're through. We didn't get out of first gear. we'll step it up against Barca. Teams who are usually up from the first leg come out in the 2nd and try and defend the advantage they have.

LOL Liverpool 2012 League Record. Played: 12 Won: 2 Drawn: 2 Lost: 8 Points: 8 If we went by the results in 2012, Liverpool would be sitting 19th.

If Milan win on Tuesday, we really need to go for it...
Aussiedan replied to MagicManMata's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
When your in a quarter-final of any competition, you'll be stupid not to be going for it, I don't think many teams would think oh no we might have to play this team next so let's just give up on this. We've got to focus on Benfica first anyway. But, any team that has come this far is good enough to beat any team on their day. -
Biggest defeat in British history: Wheel Power 58-0 Nova 2010
Aussiedan replied to Aussiedan's topic in Football Chat
No, our 31-0 win is the biggest in International Football. This 58-0 is the biggest win in British Football. The biggest I think I've found is 149-0 game in Madagascar. AS Adema beat Stade Olymique L'Emyrne on October 31st 2002. Stade Olymique L'Emyrne put the ball in their own net 149 times in protest over a referee decision. LOL. -
'We expected to lose, but not by that much': Sunday league football team sets unwanted record after going down 58-0 (that's a goal every 90 seconds) Strike force of two brothers notched up 28 goals between them Eight of the Wheel Power FC squad celebrated at least a hat-trick each Dismayed Lewis Parker, 60, says his side went in with low expectations Nova 2010 FC now have a goal difference of -163 (but at least they're not bottom of the table) By Lyle Brennan The heroic second-half comeback is the stuff of football folklore, the plucky underdogs charging from the dressing room to reverse an impossible lead. But going into the break with a colossal 20-goal deficit, Nova 2010 FC had little doubt that this was to be the mother of all drubbings. The amateur side has racked up the biggest defeat in British history - losing 58-0 in a clash with local rivals Wheel Power FC in the Torbay Sunday League in Devon. Thrashed: Lewis Parker, 60, from Paignton, Devon, who plays for Nova 2010 FC. He says the underdogs went in with little hope The league leaders notched up another 38 goals in the second half, with brothers Robbie and Stuart Bowker scoring 28 times between them. It is believed Wheel Power’s win is the biggest on record, beating Cornish side Illogan’s 55-0 demolition of Madron FC in November 2010. Nova arrived for the match last Sunday at Wheel Power’s ground in Torquay with just five players but managed to get a team of nine together to face their ten-man opponents. The home team quickly made use of their one-man advantage by scoring five times in the first five minutes. Robbie Bowker, 27, was the star man scoring 18 goals with younger brother Stuart hitting ten. Top scorers: Robbie Bowker (left) and his brother Stuart netted 28 goals between them in Wheel Power's 58-0 demolition of Nova Other players on the scoresheet included Justin Grinsill, Jordan Lam and Kurtley Hassall, who each bagged six while there were hat-tricks for Mike Wright, Lewis Jones and Adam Simpson. Ashley Hoare scored a brace while player-manager Andy Woodward knocked in a solitary strike. Stuart Bowker, 21, said: 'At 50-0 they’d had enough but the referee told them they must carry on playing or they would risk being fined. 'After the final whistle a couple of their players shook hands but the rest just got into their cars and drove off, but you can’t really blame them for that. 'They weren’t even bottom of the league.' Sitting at the foot of the table is Applebys, who have also been on the receiving end of a thrashing by Wheel Power - losing 30-0 and 27-0 already this season. The club kept count of the score thanks to one of the players' mothers, who was watching from the sidelines. And they claim they would have scored around 70 had it not been for poor finishing and the fact they were missing their best striker. Nova managed just ONE attempt at goal - a speculative punt from the half-way line after one of their kick-offs, with the ball clipping the top of the bar and bouncing over. Andy Woodward, player-manager for the winners, added: 'The referee’s biro went blunt after a while. 'It was a bit embarrassing but fair play to the other team for carrying on - they were really sporting. 'The result will certainly help at the end of the season if it goes down to goal difference.' Rampant: The Wheel Power FC squad who ran riot in the Torbay Sunday League clash Lewis Parker, 60, who plays for Nova 2010, said: 'A lot of the players didn’t turn up so we expected to lose but not by that much.' Wheel Power now have a four-point lead at the top of Division One of the Torbay Sunday Football League with an incredible goal difference of 167 after 15 games. This Sunday they face third-place Plough Inn, who, with the league’s third meanest defence, should offer a sterner test. Nova 2010, meanwhile, are languishing second from bottom with the trashing leaving them with goal difference of -163. Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz1qARsjDlj

We must win, we should win, Sprus are in terrible form, if we don't win, we wont get 4th spot, now where's the full stop button.
-
I'm a Hawthorn supporter. I've never been so confident going into a season thinking we're going to win it. Looked good in preseason and the team are at they're peak. 2008 when we did win it, we we're all still young and weren't expected to win it for another few years. Buckley is bringing Collingwood down, Geelong are getting old, Carlton had a terrible preseason and don't look like a top 4 team. I really think we'll win it.
-
We were lucky to be 1-0 up, City were the better team, just disappointed that we couldn't hold a lead for the last 15 minutes, even just to get a point. Oh well, it's a game where we weren't expected to win, we just got to beat Tottenham and Arsenal. still along way to go, we can get 4th spot.
-
Last few season we'll always lose if I didn't wear shorts and thongs (thongs as in flip flops I think you call it) but this season we started to lose even when I was wearing them. But I have noticed that last few games where we've won, I've worn the some undies, lol. So maybe I'll wear them when we play.

What do you do career wise at the moment? Are you still in school? what are you looking to do when you're finished? Studying, what are you studying? Work? Doing what? enjoy it? Unemployed? What do you want to do? if you want to do anything? Or maybe you're just a full time forum poster? (Apologies if they're is already a topic like this) What I'm doing is studying Event Management, I've almost completed the course, I have about 3 months to go and as it comes to a end I don't want to do it anymore, lol.

I'm just thinking back earlier in the season, where he did score a lot of goals, that he didn't seem to be as selfish back then, he has only scored 1 goal this year and that was in the FA Cup against Birmingham, his last Premier League goal was back in December 20th 2011. He hasn't scored in his last 7 appearances. Maybe his just desperate to break his goal drought and when his gets the ball he just has one thing on his mind and that's to shot and score, his still only young and his eager to score, he'll mature and get better at taking the right option and come to realise that an assist is just as good as a goal. Looking at Daniel Sturridge stats for this season, he has had 32 appearances, 98 shots, with 40 of them being on target, 11 goals and 4 assists. Where you look at Mata who's only had a couple more appearances then Sturridge, he has 10 goals this season with 13 assists and a total of 76 shots at goal.

FA Cup Quarter-Final, Stamford Bridge 18th Match 2012 vs Head-to-Head Record Played: 101 Chelsea Win: 48 Drawn: 29 Leciester Win: 24 Last Meetings 31st October 2007 - Carling Cup Chelsea 4-3 Leicester Lampard '20 '29' 90 (CHE) ; McAuley '6 (LEIC) ; Campbell '69 (LEIC) ; Cort '74 (LEIC) ; Shevcenko '87 (CHE) 11th January 2004 - EPL Leicester 0-4 Chelsea Hasselbaink '12 '44 (CHE) ; Mutu '88 (CHE) ; Babayaro '90 (CHE) 23rd August 2003 - EPL Chelsea 2-1 Leicester Nails o.g '3 (CHE) ; Scowcroft '40 (LEIC) ; Mutu '45 (CHE) Last 5 Results (W3 L2 D0) Leicester 3-1 Birmingham Reading 3-1 Leicester Bristol City 3-2 Leicester Leicester 2-0 Coventry Derby 0-1 Leicester Championship 12th - 51pts - P36 W14 D9 L13 GF51 GA44 Leicester Road to the FA Cup Quarter-Finals 3rd Round Nottingham Forrest 0-0 Leicester 3rd Round Replay Leicester 4-0 Nottingham Forrest 4th Round Leicester 2-0 Swindon Town 5th Round Norwich 1-2 Leicester Last games line-up (4-4-2) vs Birmingham Schmeichel | Bamba, Morgan, Kennedy, St Ledger | Dyer, Wellens, Danns, Gallagher | Beckford, Nugent Leading Goal Scorer David Nugent 14 Prediction Leicester City have been in some high scoring games recently with 13 goals in 3 matches, 7 of them they have conceded. But they're recent 3-1 win over Birmingham would give them some confidence going into this game. But you wont get any higher than our emotional 4-1 win over Napoli in the Champions League mid-week. but you'll think a lot of players will be rested, Lampard, Essien, Drogba, Cole, Luiz, Ivanovic, Ramires all played 120 minutes 4 days ago and keeping in mind we played Manchester City and Tottenham in the next 7 days too. you'll likely see these changes from the mid-week starting line-up; Mikel in for Essien Meireles in for Lampard Bertrand in for Cole Cahill in for Terry Torres in for Drogba Could possibly see Bosingwa in for Ivanovic Even with all the changes it's still a strong team and they should all be on a high after mid-week and want to continue the run of form. Chelsea 3-1

On another note, I thought the referee from Germany had an outstanding game, let the game flow didn't get sucked in to some of Napoli dives (although he did get sucked into some of Drogba's antics a couple of times) but apart from that he was great, it would be a first time in the CL where the referee for our game was good and didn't miss some big decisions.

vs CHELSEA 4-1 NAPOLI My Match Ratings Petr Cech (1) Made two really good saves, couldn't do anything about the goal Match Rating: 8 Ashley Cole (3) Thought he didn't have a very good game, looked slow at times and slipped over which could of lead to a goal, he didn't seem to get forward much. Match Rating: 3 David Luiz (6) Absolutely outstanding at centre back, made some important tackles and doubt with Napoli long balls and crosses really well. Match Rating: 9.5 John Terry (26) Solid performance, even injuried he battled hard as he always does and scored a trade mark header. Match Rating: 7 Branslav Ivanovic (2) Had a very poor first half I thought, but was brillant in the 2nd half and extra time, made some very good runs on the right and took the goal well in extra time. Match Rating: 7.5 Michael Essien (5) He didn't have much of an impact on the game, but he didn't really do much wrong. Match Rating: 5 Ramires (7) Great cross for Drogba first goal and he did well to get the ball to Drogba which lead to the extra time goal, but he did give away the ball a couple of times. Match Rating: 6.5 Frank Lampard (8) Splended performance in the midfield, really controlled the middle, passed the ball well and did well defensively, scored the important penalty and his delivery from corners were good. Match Rating: 8.5 Daniel Sturridge (23) Terriable performance, lost the ball far too many times, he did have one good effort early on but his early exit from the game was inevitable. Match Rating: 2 Juan Mata (10) Mata didn't seem to get too many touches of the ball, so he didn't have a real great impact. Match Rating: 4 Didier Drogba (11) Lovely headed goal and a nice cross for Ivanovic goal in extra time, worked hard thoughout the game, played some nice balls and used his stength to real effect. Match Rating: 9.5 Subs Fernando Torres (7) Came on for Sturrdige and looked lively, he made good runs and created space, but still just can't score, his doing everything else right just not scoring, he had a real good chance for a goal but hit the side netting, Match Rating: 7 Jose Bosingwa (17) Came on for Terry and played right back, didn't have a impact but was soild for the time he was on. Match Rating: 5 Florent Malouda (15) Came on for Mata late in the game, didn't do to bad for the limited amount of time he was on for, provided a decent cross for Drogba and was calm held the ball up and kept possession. Match Rating: 5.5 Unbelievable performance we showed great character and these are the sort of games you'll always look back and remember. I'm so proud with the way we played. We were lucky early on, the first 20 minutes Napoli were all over us and had some decent chances in which we were lucky not to be a goal down, but we got in the game and played very well from then on indeed. It was so tense, 2-0 up, we're going through, then Napoli score, they're going though, then we score to take it to extra time, then we score in extra time, we're going though, but if Napoli score they'll be through, but we held on. I'm still emotionally stuffed from this game. Just so happy that we made it through!!! Farken bring on the Quarter-Finals!!
-
We play Man City on Wednesday 21st March.
-
Seriously? FA Cup is the only realistic thing we can win this season, we're in the Quarter-Finals, no way should we play so many youngsters, you should play your best team in every game, unless it's a dead rubber, or players need a rest.
-
I can't wait for this game, I'm buzzing for it. I remember in 2003/04 Champions League season in the Semi Final when we went to Monaco and we lost 3-1 there, we came back to the Bridge for the 2nd leg and the atmosphere there was electric, we we're up 2-0 with Gronkjaer superb cross that ended in the goal and Lampard scored the 2nd to give us a 2-0 lead which would of saw us through, I remember how pumped I was, but then Monaco scored a soft goal right on half time which killed us in the end and how gutted I was. I've got a good feeling about this game... that we can over turn it... but the again I can also see being disappointed and gutted at the end of the game if we go out. But then again that's why I love football and that's why I love this team, for the emotion that it brings. :cfc:

People forget that his still only 24, most central defensive midfielders peak around 26, 27. Makelele was 29 when he first starting at Chelsea and he had a brilliant 5 year career with us. Mikel cops a little because of his goal scoring record but his not in the team for scoring goals.
