I know this has been mentioned before but this is a man who once said he would have to be "forced out" of Swansea to leave but when Wigan came calling, he turned back on his words and said he couldn't pass the down opportunity to manage in the Premier League. Then after he got relegated with Wigan, he decided to jump ship again at the first attempt when Everton wanted him, claiming he didn't feel capable of bringing the team back into the Premier League. Maybe he did feel that way or he was just making up excuses so he can continue managing in the Premier League.

Now now @Chelsea4, remember to insert the player's name properly. We wouldn't want another WUM to moan about names here.

Two things worth pointing out for the Arsenal and Tottenham matches - Arsenal are away at Croatia to face Dinamo Zagreb and Spurs travel to Azerbaijan to take Qarabag FK before facing us.

First question was about the game? I'm shocked! At least Mourinho was in a good mood during the presser - had the time to make jokes and poke fun at a journalist. A shame though that no one asked him about Bamford. I know he can't play this game but it would be nice if someone had asked him about the loan at Crystal Palace. Hope they did ask him in the briefing with the papers.

We did but we were also fortunate that nothing happened to them last season. 3 games in this time around and we already have players suffering loss of form and suspension. It doesn't bode well for the campaign and Rahman still has to adapt to life in England and we don't know how he'll fare. Until he proves himself, we practically only have 5 1/2 defenders for 4 positions. And to put the situation into context, one is suspended, one is arguably still not ready and we have to play our 4 remaining defenders tomorrow. If one gets injured or sent off (touch wood), then we're down to bare bones in defence.

If Stones performs poorly at Spurs, then it could help the situation. Everton then might be forced to sell Stones because his head isn't in the right place and all the blame would be on the player, not the club.

Meh. Chances are that we won't get Stones but I won't be surprised if the club decide to make one final move within this last few days of the window.

Martinez is like a broken record these days, talking about tradition, values, ambition bla bla bla. I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate for one second to jump ship if one of the big clubs come calling for him. In fact, considering all the nonsense that Martinez talks, he would be the right man to replace Wenger at Arsenal.

Spurs have signed Son Heung-Min from Bayer Leverkusen. 5-year deal and fee is around 20-22m.
