So err, can we talk about Pulisic? Is the real Pulisic gonna turn up in the Champions League next week? I know he's not our only inconsistent attacker right now but what exactly is going on with him? Just about a month ago, he looked like he was getting back to the form he showed last season but apart from the Real Madrid games, everything just went up in smoke and he has been largely ineffective in a lot of the recent games. He's not taking players on, he's not playing with the same self swagger and decisiveness that he displayed last season. I sometimes wonder whether his individualistic style of play can feel at odd with the rest of the team. Also, I notice that Pulisic gets similar treatment to Mount. When he plays and plays poorly, no one really says anything (compared to others) but when he doesn't play, people will be complaining that he should have started etc and then you have the American fans as well as the media making a fuss over his selection from across the pond.

It's debatable whether our buildup and approach play would have been the same with Abraham since Tuchel doesn't rate him at all. It's just like how if we throw Giroud on, our attacking play just becomes totally different and possibly worse.

Why we should judge our chances in that final based on today? We beat Wolves on the final day last season and then and went flopped against Arsenal in the cup final. Go figure. Since Kante was injured, the only other alternative is Gilmour, who despite his talent has only been OK-ish in recent outings. Agree but Kepa wasn't even the one at fault against Arsenal. It also wasn't his fault that Havertz squared 1 v 1 at 0-0 or that the others couldn't react for the remainder part of the game. Wasn't it only Arsenal after all!?

How about we see what happens next Saturday before we say Tuchel fluffs another critical game? No one seems to be giving us any chance of beating City anyway. Not even you! What did Tuchel fluff today exactly? He put out the XI that most of us expected/wanted and it's not his fault that we kept fucking up chances and then gave away two stupid goals at the back. People keep on complaining about the changes made against Arsenal but apart from Kepa and Alonso, the rest were justified. Rudiger, Kante and Werner were all at risk of injuries. The XI we put out there should still have been good enough to beat Arsenal (ARSENAL!) and let's not forget Havertz missed a sitter when the game was still 0-0 (is that Tuchel's fault?). Another way you could put it is we seem to do better when we are not the favorites, for better or for worse.
