Kane is not exactly the brightest when it comes to his career, is he? First, he signed that 6-year contract 3 years ago and then he hedged his future on a gentlemen's agreement with Levy, of all people!
Agree. I don't know he has been cursed or we have been cursed or whatever but even when he was missing chances in the Bundesliga, his big chance conversion rate was never as bad as this season:
2016/17 - 67%
2017/18 - 30%
2018/19 - 31.3%
2019/20 - 46.2%
2020/21 - 22.7%
He has clearly shown that he can score goals but whether he can do so consistently remains to be seen. One can only hope his luck changes next season.
And that is why we also need to sign a #9. That would help take the pressure off Werner - and maybe see him do better as a result of it - and ease our worries! Because if we take aside those misses (not to say they're excusable), his goal and assist tallies aren't bad for someone who is a more of an inside forward/a second striker but of course it's bad if we look at him as the main #9, the main goal source etc.
It's Rory Jennings. He always has Lampard tinted glasses on. I don't know why he was given a platform to spout nonsense like that but then again, it's Daily Mail.
To think that only months ago that we wanted him out. lol
He's a totally different defender in a back 3 and has seemingly improved under Tuchel. And then there's the shithousery...
Just like our other attackers, he's struggling for consistency. But yeah, he's not playing with the same confidence, self swagger and decisiveness that we saw last season.

He mentioned in an interview not too long ago that those misses, the lack of goals were affecting him earlier this season. But he then sort of made peace with it that maybe this season is just not his season in front of goal and tries to make sure he helps the team in other ways like providing assists if he's not scoring.
Someone needs to explain how on earth that first half penalty wasn't given to us. Even Graeme Souness was raging at HT!
Someone also needs to explain how Perez got penalized for an accidental handball during a Leicester move in the first half but nothing happened with him at the weekend and with Holding last midweek.
🤬
Leaving Kepa aside, the XI that played against Arsenal and even Leicester in the final should have been enough. The difference between tonight and those two games were the application of the players. They turned up tonight but not in those two games. It's stupid.
Also notice how confident the team was at playing out from the back with Mendy in the first half. It was certainly risky and we got out of a few tight situations thanks to Mendy in goal.
Off the top of my head - Spurs (h), Newcastle (a), Leicester (a), Liverpool (a), Leicester (h).
The one at Anfield was stupid. The ones against Spurs and at Leicester were tight. The ones against Newcastle and Leicester tonight were blatant offside.
