  1. But those are just words, aren't they? Says a lot more when you look at their performances ON the pitch than OFF it. And didn't we also had players coming out at some point to show some support for AVB, Scolari etc but completely put in indifferent performances like they want the manager gone?
  2. Feeling pissed off and depressed about this to be honest. It's just painful to take even though Mourinho arguably had to go.
  3. It's tuttomercatoweb for goodness sake!
  4. Wasn't even talking about tactics, formation...
  5. There is that but desperate times call for desperate measures. The players want to prove him wrong and show everyone that last season's success was not all down to him. That being said though, given what has happened this season, the players are more likely to be upset and furious with him than trying to prove him wrong.
  6. The thing is, whether right or wrong, Mourinho has tried a lot of things to get a reaction from the players and none have worked. He's backed them to the hilt (e.g. Costa) and still doesn't get anything. He's criticized them and still doesn't get anything. At this point, he's probably taking things further up a notch and see it if works. And if it doesn't, then he's surely dragged those under-performers down with him.
  7. If the club had expected us to lose to Leciester on Monday, then why would a loss intensified the need to sack Mourinho? If anything, it's his post-match outburst that has driven the club (and practically almost everyone else) over the edge.
  8. Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri coy on rumoured Oscar interest
  9. Chelsea players worried by quality of possible mid-season Jose Mourinho replacements
  10. I know our situation is dire and we probably won't have Champions League football next season but it seems bizarre that we're not even trying to pursue Guardiola, considering we were hell bent on getting him last time.
  11. This. At least we would have 'character'.
  12. Fucking hell! At this point, I don't really care anymore if the club decides to sack Mourinho but if they really are thinking of bringing Juande Ramos in, then they have completely lost the plot (if they haven't already!).
  13. We'll see about that when he becomes consistent again. But on a general level, I don't see him as a difference maker. It's really quite depressing when you see the squad we have now and the one we had previously. With the latter, we had so many leaders and difference makers - Cech, Cole, Terry, Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Drogba etc. If the team suddenly slack off, you can bet at least one or two of those players will take charge, rally the troops and be a difference a maker. Now, there's only Terry and if he doesn't do what a leader does, then no one else steps up to take responsibility. All of them are just going through the motion and doing nothing.
  14. Majority of the papers have written about the impending doom of Mourinho. And then we have Sky Sports who claims his position at the club is unchanged - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10100602/jose-mourinhos-chelsea-position-unchanged-sky-sources. Take your pick. On the farcical side of things, the media have become so desperate that they actually asked Andy Carroll (ANDY FREAKING CARROLL!!!) about our situation - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/10101413/chelsea-in-a-relegation-battle-says-west-hams-andy-carroll
  15. There lies a major problem with this squad - we have a tad too many players who only play well when the team is playing well but when the team isn't playing well, a lot of the players go AWOL. Not enough difference makers in the squad. Hazard is the only one and that's it.
  16. Some contrasting views here... Why Chelsea’s players have a right to feel betrayed by José Mourinho Jose Mourinho is right: His misfiring Chelsea flops HAVE betrayed him this season
  17. The thing is, Leicester sat off more after going 2-0 up and that's why we got more time and space to operate, which obviously benefited someone like Fabregas to do some damage. But otherwise, he didn't really offer much defensively. Just seemed to jog around doing nothing when we lost the ball. That being said, considering we're at home against *ahem* a fellow relegation rival in Sunderland, think he should start this one despite his defensive deficiencies. Big Sam has been playing with a back 3/5 a lot recently and we need all the creativity we can get to break them down. He's likely going to park the bus to get at least a point.
