Are you @Fernando in disguise?

If Mourinho's time isn't over yet, then it will be over soon if he continues with the same approach, management style. It's obvious that all the things he's doing/he's done aren't effective as before. Only have to look at what's happening at United, what happened last season, and compare his trophy haul in the last 6 years with the 6 years prior to that.

It'll happen sooner or later but interested to see how we respond in this current system when we concede the opening goal of a match. Not counting the West Ham game since we didn't play our first team, although it did suggest we won't have issues responding since we did create chances and could/should have scored a few.

Oh my god. It doesn't get mentioned much but that was one of the worst and most defensive displays we had under Mourinho and it was against Basel FFS! They were a good team but they weren't Barcelona and yet we treated them like one. And not to mention, we beat them twice with good displays under Benitez just a few months before that.

He may have bought Eto'o for us but at least he knew how and when to use him. With Ibrahimovic, it's a different story altogether. It's just silly to use a 35-year-old as the main striker, especially for a club like United and Ibrahimovic might have his strengths but his obvious lack of dynamism, pace, mobility is hurting United. It makes them predictable and have to play almost everything through Ibrahimovic.

Pundits are now, begrudgingly, praising Luiz after his last few performances.

This hasn't been mentioned much but it's incredible that we limited Everton, who aren't one of those bottom sides, to just ONE shot all game. Can't remember when was the last time we prevented an opposition to create so little or in general, a team having so few shots. Can't remember clearly but that one game between Steve Kean's Blackburn at Spurs a few seasons ago sticks out, where they only had like 1-2 shots.

Who actually listens to Collymore?
-
IMO, Scholes does talk some sense but Shearer, he mostly talks BS. Sometimes, it's hard to understand how these pundits are pundits.
-
Don't want to jinx it but our recent performances and results are really putting a huge spotlight on Mourinho's management and even more so with the way United are doing. Conte is managing basically same set of players and getting far better results and performances than Mourinho did last season.
-
Careful now. Alan Shearer said there's only ONE world class player in the Premier League.
-
It's annoying that Costa is still on 4 yellow cards. Would be typical if he got it against Boro and then suspended against Spurs.

WOW! Wow wow wow. When was the last time we had this good and easy against Everton? Thought it was going to be a close, tough game because (1) that always seem to happen against them, (2) we had beaten Ronald Koeman just ONCE in 4 PL games and (3) he changed Everton's system to counter us. But what happened was an utterly brilliant, impressive, wonderful, flawless performance and win. I don't want to jinx us but we might just be able to challenge for the title at the very least this season (although the minimum target has to be top 4!).

It's just like I mentioned, we certainly have made mistakes. Maybe we allowed things to slide way too much when we arguably should have taken action a lot quicker - e.g. banning those guys you pointed out. Here's the thing though, those fellas were banned some time before Stats and fair enough if you expects us to take action quicker to get rid of people like them. But you can't moan about us not taking action quickly and then around to moan why we are taking it so fast, when we are trying not to repeat the previous mistakes.
-
The reason why the banned members thread hasn't been updated because previously, it's updated automatically every time after we ban someone. But after the forum underwent several changes/updates, that doesn't work anymore and we haven't had the time to update it and it's time consuming especially when we have to ban trolls, spammers etc - (on a side note, are we seriously getting petty over the banned members thread?). I don't disagree that Stats is a good contributor but he got banned because of his aggressive behavior and him using personal insults. He got several warnings before that but he continued to persist with it and that's why SJ did what he did. Don't get me wrong. I never said the forum staff are blameless in this. All I said was don't make it as if we are the primary reason for why the forum isn't what it used to be. We aren't perfect but we try to do our best for TC and as much as you're unhappy with how we deal with certain things here, why don't you try to look from our perspective as well? I mean it's not easy to deal with you guys because sometimes, some of you lot go completely off track and become aggressive towards another member for whatever reason, and even after what getting warning(s), the same fellas will continue to commit the same thing and make the place become unpleasant for everyone involved. You have no idea how often we have let things slide before actually being forced to take action and it seems like no matter what we do, it's always a lose-lose situation. If we do 'A', then we'll have 'group A' moan at us for doing that. If we do 'B', then we'll have a different group of members moan at us for what we did. I guess if you're going to blame people for why TC isn't what it used to be, then blame everyone in this place because we all contribute and participate on TC and likely to have made mistakes along the way (Choulo, you were a forum staff once before and I'm sure you know this very well and IIRC, this is one of the reasons why you and Alex resigned, so that you don't have to deal with all of this).

Had one of his customary meltdowns...again. Never change, Jose. Never change.

I'm sorry but that's just utter nonsense. Every decision we make, we discuss it among ourselves and have a proper rationale or two before making it. You and the others may not agree with our decisions and that's fine. But please, don't make it sound as if we go on a banning spree and ban people without reason every week. If we have been doing that, nobody would be in the forum right now and apart from the obvious trolls and members who cross the line, we have hardly banned anyone in recent time. And also, please stop making it as if we are the reason that some people are no longer active on the forum. I wasn't here in the early years of TC and so, I can't compare the situation back then and now but the forum has still many good members, good contributors and there are plenty of discussions every day. Not our fault if they do not want to participate in them and perhaps some have priorities in life that they simply don't have the time to contribute anymore.

No doubt Everton will be a test for us but have you confused them with another team? Before beating West Ham last weekend, they had gone 5 games without a win, losing 3 of them. And regarding Southampton, they lost only ONCE in 10 games before facing us last weekend. They won 6 of those, conceded just 3 goals and got an impressive draw at City (unlike the manner Everton did). So, I'm not sure how you can say Everton are the in-form team and not Southampton.
-
It really is a missed opportunity that he didn't pick up that 5th yellow card against United. We have Spurs and City to come in late Nov/early Dec. Can't afford to have him miss those games!
-
Don't jinx it! Maybe I'm just being paranoid but now that Ivanovic is back from injury, I'm kinda scared that Conte will throw him straight back into the starting XI.
-
(1) It's a matter of different interpretation, (2) grammar is so overrated and (3) I've missed arguing with you.
-
Well, we are the only team to win at Southampton this year. That's the hard fact now. Whether or not another team will win is a different matter.
-
Fixed.
