  1. You aren't wrong but on the other hand, dribbling stats can be deceiving if the players don't make it effective. Hazard could dribble past 3-4 players but if he ended up passing sideways or backwards in non-threatening areas, would you then say he had a good game? Circumstances can also dictate that stats. If he's dropping deep during matches, then he's likely to dribble past players and get those numbers up. But if he's just staying up top, he may not dribble too much because there's less players to beat or there may be space for him to combine with others without having to beat players.
  2. You are a little obsessed with his dribbling stats, aren't you?
  3. Drogba would be proud of Costa's goal yesterday. Pure strength and power in winning the ball and the finishing.
  4. Right. Forgot it was Dec 31. Those lucky bastards!
  5. At the moment, I'm just hoping Pochettino doesn't try to match our formation (he has played with a back 3 in some games this season). Tired of seeing sides change to a back 3 against us.
  6. Wanyama and Dembele are on 4 yellows ahead of their game at Watford tomorrow. Odds on them picking up the 5th?
  7. I talked in general and used those moments as example. But yeah, whatever. Ta.
  8. I talked about our poor defending in general and you somehow singled it to just that one moment, like nothing else was wrong. Lovely. Best to just agree to disagree. Wouldn't want to make a mountain out of a molehill...
  9. There is that but should always play to the whistle. Who the fuck is making a mountain out of a molehill? Have I gone to every thread and moaned about things? Only stating what went wrong with today's showing. If you can't take one single comment like that in a forum(!), then stay away from the place.
  10. But we still didn't deal with the situation very well, did we?
  11. Who's pulling a hissy fit? Only stated the flaws in our performances today (pretty sure Conte won't be happy with that either) because on another day, giving away soft goals like that could have cost us points (remember Swansea this season?). Alonso may be 6'2" but he's not exactly a physical defender, is he? And zonal marking or not, the defender for both goals and in some other instances were certainly quite messy to say the least.
  12. Like I said, poor lad. What did he do to deserve that?!
  13. Really? You have to ask how we would have stopped Crouch for the equalizer (why was Alonso with him?) and the second goal (3-4 players battling with Crouch and not one managed to win the duel, even from the second ball?)? If you thought the defending was fine, then I've got no words.
  14. Believe I've mentioned the examples and implied the responses in that same post.
  15. Got injured when Cahill scored and not one player bothered. Poor lad.
  16. Jurgen Klopp's record against the league's Big Six - P13 W6 D6 L1. If that record keeps up, then we gotta pray hard that Liverpool drop points against the smaller sides. Kinda hoping it'll be at Sunderland, if only for the fact that the game is in 48 hours time, which Liverpool may not be fresh for after all the pressing and running against City.
  17. Yeah...but it says a lot about Liverpool that despite our 13-match winning run, they are only 6 points behind us!
  18. Feeling VERY uneasy with Liverpool STILL 6 points behind us. Got a feeling that will be down to just 3 after next Wednesday.
  19. City equalizer desperately needed. A win for either side will do us no good here!
  20. That's no excuse, is it? Crouch is 35 for goodness sake(!) and the way we dealt with him today was atrocious. Why was Alonso marking him for Stoke's first goal? Why didn't we deal with the ball properly for their second? We had so many players back and we couldn't deal with Crouch, Bojan and Diouf. We only conceded 2 goals in the 12 games before today (mind you that 2 goals - one was from distance, the other an own goal) because we defended properly and barely gave any clear cut chances away. And of all the things to struggle to deal with, we struggled with the route one play.
