  1. He has played only 34 minutes in the CL finals. 😅
  2. That really should be the worst case scenario because Pulisic doesn't have a presence about him to be playing the False 9.
  3. Atletico Madrid? Are you talking about 2014? We didn't even have Morata and Fabregas back then yet. Or if you're talking about 2016, that was only in the group stage. A long way from the final.
  4. On one hand, am inclined to agree but on the other hand, if/when we let both Giroud AND Abraham go, we'll be left with only Havertz and Werner as the striker options. We obviously hope they and the others improve when it comes to converting chances next season but it's also risky given that struggle this season and with just 2 players for that position. Form, injury, suspension, rotation will play a part and both of them will likely play a lot together as well next season. I don't know about buying a big striker but we likely need at least 1 as an option, a rotation/backup.
  5. I know but our approach also made a difference. Under Mourinho, Conte and Sarri, it was basically about relying on one player in Hazard. Not the case with this team we have now and it's for the better.
  6. Either way, they are both similar while Werner offers something completely different to them. It's nice to have options. And if we're going for a striker, then I can't see us getting Sancho. It's one or the other, IMO.
  7. People say that with Pulisic and Werner and look what has happened. And Sancho can also play on the right. If we get Sancho, Ziyech will see even less game time.

  9. 🤣 He already said he ain't going anywhere.
  10. It was checked and pretty sure the ball hit James' body and not his hand/shoulder.
  11. But thought he only played because he's the captain? 🤪
  12. But also, without Werner, that goal wouldn't have happened. Anyway, we won. Chill, relax, celebrate. Think/worry/complain again next season.
  13. It feels very strange to do it without any drama. 🤣 It feels very strange to do it while actually being good in Europe!
  14. Tuchel on meeting Roman for the first time yesterday... "I spoke to the owner right now on the pitch. It was the best moment for the first meeting - because now on it can only get worse." 🤣
  15. Tuchel said he didn't start Pulisic yesterday because "he's very strong from the bench" and also because Werner and Havertz are a good pairing upfront with good understanding with one another. Don't think Pulisic would enjoy basically being called a super sub but next season will be(?) important for him because he would only have 2 years left on his contract come next summer. In any case, he's the first American to play in the Champions League and win it, unsurprisingly. Good thing he did it before McKennie does with Juventus or Dest with Barcelona.
  16. According to The Guardian, Tuchel's contract will be extended by one year to 2023, with the option of a further year. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/may/30/thomas-tuchel-to-sign-new-contract-after-leading-Chelsea-to-glory
