  1. Oh the irony of that. Without the fans, the media wouldn't even be getting a single cent.
  2. No, I totally get your point but what I'm disputing is the lack of consistency on the same issue from the media (not even sure why I'm surprised). No one cares about Klopp and Liverpool? These are the same lot that when they went on a good run, pundits and journalists were quick to jump on the bandwagon but now they are on a bad, hardly a word of criticism. Criticizing Klopp and Liverpool doesn't attract attention? Please. Have you seen the reaction from opposition fans towards them of late (or any time they go on a bad run?)? Other fans will be more than happy to gobble it up, just like others would with us.
  3. Don't want to 'sack' Klopp? Fine. But where is the scrutiny? We all know Wenger, for example, won't be going anywhere and yet every time he loses, the media criticize and scrutinize him. Where's that treatment for Klopp? He has been getting away with things rather lightly and worst of all, I've even seen pundits give excuses that Klopp needs another summer transfer window to sort things out. If he hasn't even sort out the mess at Liverpool since he has been there, what makes them think he'll do it in one window? Has shown no indication that he's willing to sell the rubbish lot or capable of buying wisely. On top of that, the media continue to over-exaggerate our penchant for sacking managers. Sure, we have sacked a number of them over the years but we usually give them time to turn things around. We do not sack managers after just 2-3 losses. Scolari was sacked only in February. AVB in March. Ancelotti at the end of the season. Even Mourinho, despite months and months of bad shit, survived until December. Pundits, journalists have also tended to ignore that most of the sackings were justified. You could maybe argue a case for Ancelotti but Scolari, AVB, RDM and Mourinho got what's coming and the first 3 there haven't done anything of note ever since, which speaks volume. Saw talks of Conte getting the boot had we lost to Watford and that is just rubbish. Unless things spiral out of control, us slipping down all the way to the relegation zone etc, Conte will remain till end of the season at the very least.
  4. At this point, we could easily write a thesis on Fabregas' weaknesses and why he is a threat to the team.
  5. Could be soon if we don't extend Cahill's contract!
  6. It is disturbing that Klopp continues a free pass from the media despite all the mess at Liverpool (and he has been there for 2 years!) while Conte's job is on the line after 2 losses.
  7. In the team to create & he isn't even doing that. Missed a sitter to boot yesterday but luckily, it didn't matter. At this point, it's tiring to even moan about Fabregas' obvious flaws. He'll never be able to improve or change them. What I would say though is that his shooting ability is so annoying. Every time he takes a shot, it's always about technique rather than power or a mixed between both. There have been times when he needed to use the latter to score but instead, chose to use the former and ended up seeing the chance wasted, like the one against Watford.
  8. Second time he's done that and he has mentioned in some French interview months ago that he wants to end his career here. On a side note, Hazard also kissed the badge last season.
  9. I know! Not being able to attract top class players is one thing but it's another to buy unwisely. And his transfer business at Liverpool has been dodgy to say the least.
  10. Worth noting that the Benitez (and Newcastle) is currently above Liverpool in the table.
  11. But has he bought wisely? Did Liverpool really need Oxlade-Chamberlain? Is Andrew Robertson or Loris Karius actually good? Why hasn't he spent a penny on CBs?
  12. Good to see he's doing well at Liverpool...
  13. Even if we ignore the stats for a moment, is he actually building anything exciting for the future? All he has mostly done so far is buying a bunch of attackers and even then, none of them screams world class. It's even more incredible that he has not signed one player that actually improves the defence. Most of them have been there since Rodgers' regime.
  14. Compare to United, Spurs have barely spent much in last 2 years and yet, they are both level on points going into next week's match at Old Trafford. On a different note, how has Klopp gotten a free pass from the media with the mess at Liverpool? He has barely improved the team since taking over from Rodgers. Defence is still as porous as ever, if not even worse, and no big difference in number of goals scored either.
  15. More than that, it highlights the reward of patience. Took Pochettino 2-3 seasons to clear out the dead woods and build a proper, solid team.
  16. Indeed. Plus, we do have a few CBs from the academy or those out on loan worth looking at. More pressing concerns at WB, CM and FW.
  17. Apparently, yesterday was his 70th consecutive league start at the club. Lampard-esque consistency.
  18. Had social media been big like 10-15 years ago, would have been fun to see all the initial reaction to Lampard, Drogba etc.
  19. She has some insight on things between the players and Conte.
  20. It's tough to say at the moment whether the players are still fighting for Conte or they are not downing tools. Statistically, we are not as bad as we were in 2015/16 but let's not forget, there were few times that season where we performed okay, got a positive result and thought things were on the up again, only to see it all went horribly wrong in the subsequent games. We may have fought back in the last 2 games to get a result but I would be wary about it.
  21. It was embarrassing to say the least. There was someone else tracking the player with the ball. Why did he track him too? (he even tripped in the process!) The goal practically came from the spot he vacated.
  22. Cahill's defending for Pereyra's goal was just .
