  1. A game of two games? Played better than we did in the reverse fixture but can't convert chances and are making stupid blunders at the back.
  2. Worth noting that 4 points from Roma (a) and Qarabag (a) will be enough to guarantee qualification from the group stage.
  3. Not sure if keeping a clean sheet against an insipid Bournemouth says much. Said it a couple of posts ago, unless we switch to a back 4, playing 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 will be risky either way. Go with the former, we get exposed down the flanks - like in the reverse fixture. Go with the latter, we get exposed in midfield. Would like to think that we'll perform better than the first game.
  4. http://www.football-espana.net/68125/new-chelsea-deal-fabregas Apparently, we're planning to offer Fabregas a new deal.
  5. Our record in Italy... D 1-1 Milan D 0-0 Lazio W 4-0 Lazio L 1-3 Roma D 2-2 Juventus L 1-2 Inter L 1-3 Napoli L 0-3 Juventus
  6. For some stupid reason, we do have a tendency to keep shooting ourselves in the foot unnecessarily. Can respect Morata's honesty but his timing to say what he has said is just plain stupid, especially when he just joined the club in the summer. He may have clarified his comments but you just know the media will use those comments against him whenever he plays poorly or goes on some goal drought. Why can't players or manager for that matter (looking at you Antonio!) be smarter with their comments or better yet, keep their mouth shut?!
  7. You are all like over 30 minutes late! #Noobs
  8. Why Italy wants Antonio Conte return; Chelsea success only adds to desire
  9. Costa and Morata. Two straight main strikers who pine for a return to a former club.
  10. It's too simplistic to say he takes the League Cup seriously because no one else does. He could have easily ignored it like many others have done and are doing but it's still a trophy to be won and he sees the value of winning a trophy. It breeds a winning mentality and let's not forget it was the trophy that acted as a springboard for us in 2005 to more success. And for some reason, it's a point that seems to be going over Pochettino's head.

  12. http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/alvaro-morata-slams-treatment-by-real-madrid-admits-he-misses-italy-and-juventus_sto6389590/story.shtml First Conte and now Morata.
  13. Guess Spurs will always be Spurs. Similar to when they played us earlier this season. They had all the momentum but couldn't find a way to beat us and ended up losing. Precisely. Even a serial winner like Mourinho tends to go for these trophies. It's almost as if Pochettino is afraid to face the added pressure, risk, burden etc in the latter stages of cup competitions. And it's also funny that he has facilitated a book about his coaching methods, him building a team etc when he hasn't even won anything to back up those good work.
  14. Just looked at our fixtures and realized that we'll be playing every 3-4 days up till January! For our sake, better pray we don't get any injuries!
  15. Gotta wonder what their players feel about Pochettino dismissing the League Cup and FA Cup. They aren't big trophies like Premier League or Champions League but they are still trophies and all of them haven't won anything in their career. Pretty sure they would have liked to win some of those.
  16. The only decent players they signed are Sigurdsson, Pickford and Keane while the rest just average/bad. Plus, when you have Williams, Jagielka and Baines in your backline, you can't really expect much.
  17. That's the AWAY record. They lost at the Bridge.
  18. It will take a monumental collapse for City to allow Spurs to win. And even then, they'll still have to contend with United and possibly us.
  19. No. We buy Chalobah for 40m and sell academy player Bakayoko. If Bakayoko had come from our academy, people would be pleading patience because he's still young etc but because he's a purchase, people want instant success.
  20. http://www.espnfc.com/manchester-united/story/3249797/jose-mourinho-urges-manchester-united-fans-to-back-romelu-lukaku He's at it again. Criticized the fans on MUTV.
  21. Would you be saying the same thing had the situation been the other way round?
  22. Bakayoko hasn't been perfect but it's so bizarre to see so many jump on him after a number of games. No pre-season, has had to deal with injury and upheaval - constant changes on the pitch and some drama off it - new to the league, new to the team etc. Nothing wrong with criticism but writing him off after a quarter of the season is just plain silly. At least give him a full season to settle and then judge from next season.
  23. The irony of that is Spurs have a manager who seems allergic to winning trophies. He has dismissed the League Cup and FA Cup a number of times like he and Spurs have won it all and is only aiming to win the big ones, chiefly the Premier League and Champions League. Spurs are a good side but nowhere good enough to win either one.
