  1. Love how you only mentioned his offensive positioning.
  2. He's making us look like fools! By the way, at the rate we're going, Pedro might be the one - rather than Hazard - who will contribute at least 35 goals this season!
  3. He was great in the first half because we utilized his strengths - pace and skill - against that high defensive line. Second half wasn't that great because Arsenal dropped deeper to limit the space and we kept playing balls onto his feet, which we know isn't going to work out well at this point, against physical defenders. No doubt he needs to improve obviously.
  4. Pedro is a system player. We saw it under Guardiola and in Conte's first season. No surprised he's looked better than last season under Sarri.
  5. Still early days but already looks better defensively from a tactical POV than Barkley and his introduction helped us to totally control the last 30 minutes.
  6. We need to criticize him more often. Seems to do the trick every weekend.
  7. As long as he continues to improve and get better, then we will be in good hands. Courtois came back from Madrid in good shape but then stagnated over the last 2-3 years.
  8. Was tearing my hair out at the players continuously passing around the back when being pressured but given that's the way we want to play under Sarri, Kepa did alright in those situations. Imagine Courtois trying to do that! I know he's most the expensive keeper in the world but easy to forget that he's only 23 and is in his first season in English. Let's see how he does in a few months after we (hopefully) get used to Sarri's methods.
  9. Suspect he had nerves in his first home game? Spilled the ball twice from simple shots shot straight at him. On the two goals, especially the first one, it feels like it's easy to criticize keepers in such situations. Sometimes the player may just hit with too much pace and power for the keeper to stop, even at the near post. Agree with that. Maybe Kepa should have done better with the two goals but if you keep giving the opposing team time and space to shoot into practically an open goal time and time again, then you gotta look at issues beyond the keeper. No team should have been allowed to create that many chances from simple cutbacks, like Arsenal did.
  10. I want to say that was a great win but more relieved than anything else to take the 3 points after the horrific last 15 minutes of the first half. First 30 minutes - Excellent. Good movement and passing as well as exploiting Arsenal's high line, something we rarely do under previous managers whenever we play teams with a high defensive line. Following 15 minutes - The less said, the better. A debacle. Second 45 minutes - Good, controlled and measured performance. Maybe it was owed to Arsenal looking more interested in defending the 2-2 but did well enough to prevent any clear goalscoring opportunities and still look threatening going forward.
  11. Well, I meant the old Liverpool.
  12. I don't think we conceded that kind of stupid goals under AVB or Scolari, certainly not a lot AFAIR. With RDM, it was a recurring theme. That home game against United is a prime example.
  13. We attacked like Guardiola's City in the first 20-30 minutes and then defended like Klopp's Liverpool in the remaining minutes of the half.
  14. Playing an attacking system, full backs getting exposed and conceding stupid goals from cutbacks. Have we re-hired RDM?
  15. Under Conte, we could defend but couldn't attack to save our lives. Under Sarri, it's the opposite. Banter.
  16. Apparently, he wants to extend his contract!
