  1. If I am talking about two entirely different things here, then so are you. I don't know why you keep on going about the value here when I have been talking about the price start and it was Hashishi's point to begin with. At the end of the fucking day, if no club are willing to pay the asking price, then it means fucking all. If you want to keep on going about such an innocuous stuff, then agree to disagree.
  2. But my point is an increase in price on a deadwood is not good in the current circumstances. If a club want to suddenly fork out say 30 million for Emerson, then great! But in reality, we know that's not going to happen because we're in a pandemic, a lot of clubs are trying to save money. At the end of the day, it comes to down whether clubs can match the asking price of the club for the player. If not, they'll just move onto the next target.
  3. In general, it's not. But in our case, it could be because we want to sell the deadwoods and say if their price goes up, then it's less likely that clubs will be able to afford them, especially during this pandemic.
  4. Isn't that what everyone seems to be doing every day here, even when there's been nothing? What seems clear is that Dortmund have made it clear that they won't sell Haaland this summer. Unless we throw some crazy money in to try and convince them, highly doubt they will move away from their stance.
  5. Hashishi's subsequent post then was referring to the price of the player. And even if it's the performance of a player, there's this...
  6. With Belgium out of the Euros, I wonder if we'll see anything happen with Lukaku...
  7. About there I think but it's still not too high in general and he might have taken a pay cut to join Spartak permanently.
  8. I don't see how playing 1-2 games is gonna make a difference now. It's not as if the Italian clubs do not know him by this point.
  9. Welcome to TC! 🤣 Good for Emerson if he does play but you were talking about his price tag etc and was just making the point about that.
  10. Yup. Think there were at least 10 teams in the Premier League last season that played that system either permanently or on several occasions.
  11. Yup he did. Martinez also did it at Wigan. But don't think anyone really took notice of that because they didn't have any success to go with the system. True but I think Conte proving the system can be successful in the Premier League was what made it popular again.
  12. Except am not sure that's the price tag Marina has put on him. And it's still more money anyway and at a time when clubs are trying to save money on transfers.
  13. If Conte hadn't played the back 3 with us and been successful with it, I doubt other managers and teams would have played a system that was out of fashion.
  14. Err, is it a good thing if the value goes up for an unwanted player? That would just mean less clubs can afford in signing him.
  15. Agreed but am sure you know that it was easy to sell Moses because of the low fee and wages. Different case with some of the others.
  16. By "only", I wasn't complaining or anything. Just merely highlighting the low fee. You're very speculative, aren't you? 🤣
  17. I suspect Gallagher will go on loan again. Tuchel reportedly wants a midfielder signing.
  18. Well, either we get a RWB then or an out-and-out CB. If we sell Zouma, we'll have only 3 out-and-out CBs in Rudiger, Christensen and Silva and I'm not sure Silva's fitness, especially, will hold up for an entire season. If one of them gets injured, then James or Azpi will be moved to the middle three, then leaving the other one for the RWB slot with no backup. Of course, Tuchel could switch to a back 4 or CHO can be used as a RWB but god knows where he is now in Tuchel's mind.
  19. Wait, you don't rate Mourinho and Hiddink 1.0? 😮
  20. He could but at the same time, he also doesn't have the full power to force the move given he dumbly signed that long term contract in 2018 (or was it 2019?). Either way, too lazy to speculate long over this. Guess we'll only see how this plays out later this month or maybe even in August.
