  1. Christensen has actually already played more this season in the league than last. He's played 672 PL minutes this term, compared to 615 last season. Got majority of his minutes in the Europa League last season.
  2. Scenes if Abraham gets injured when we play Leicester on Feb 1...
  3. Better pray we fix our home form AND Abraham doesn't get injured!
  4. In a somewhat related Sancho news... Looks like Sane could well join Bayern in the summer - they are still interested AFAIK - and if so, City may be on the lookout for a new winger...
  5. It is but it is also risky at the same time. 😬
  6. Lampard on Pulisic's injury... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/01/10/frank-lampard-rules-trio-out--updates-on-january-speculation-and?_branch_match_id=744198548489059432 Guessing him starting 12 straight games - don't think he's managed that before - from October-December while still getting used to a new league, to games with higher intensity has kinda come and bit us on the arse...
  7. Lampard with latest on Loftus-Cheek... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/01/10/frank-lampard-rules-trio-out--updates-on-january-speculation-and?_branch_match_id=744198548489059432
  8. Lampard on selling Christensen... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/01/10/frank-lampard-rules-trio-out--updates-on-january-speculation-and?_branch_match_id=744198548489059432
  9. Not agreeing/disagreeing with you or anything but the board clearly have their plans - for the better or worse - if they aren't moving for a left back this month.
  10. PL HOME record vs Burnley since 2014/15: D 1-1 W 3-0 L 2-3 D 2-2 PL AWAY record vs Burnley since 2014/15: W 3-1 D 1-1 W 2-1 W 4-2
  11. Might even see Pedro starting games! We have Burnley (h), Newcastle (a), Arsenal (h), Hull (a) and Leicester (a) to come before the mini winter break.
  12. But buying in January is always gonna be a tricky situation, especially with our current state. Do we go buy 2nd/3rd rate players now for the short term benefit or do we try to cope with what we have for another 5 months or so and then go big in the summer? Buying average players in the winter transfer window is what has led us to having a mishmash squad of players, in terms of quality.
  13. Lampard also spoke at length about improving Christensen.
  14. Pulisic out for a few weeks with a tendon injury after picking it up in training pre-Nottingham Forest. FACK! That means Pedro isn't going anywhere this month.
  15. Alonso and Pulisic are out injured. In fact, Pulisic is out for a few weeks with a tendon injury.
  16. - Lampard said he's surprised Dembele popped up so much over the last few days because he hasn't been discussing with the club about him BUT Lampard didn't explicitly rule him out when asked if Dembele is actually a target. - Lampard reiterated the club will sign players if only the right ones are available. - Lampard also said we are not close to signing anyone.
  17. The fact that no big clubs are even linked with him maybe suggests he's not very good for the highest level. If we're going for Sancho this summer, then Ziyech makes no sense whatsoever.
  18. Batshuayi might as well be a ghost at this point because Lampard clearly doesn't trust him and he hasn't done enough to suggest he can be trusted either. We're practically one Abraham injury away from Lampard going with the False 9 again. We wouldn't be seeing so many stories about Dembele or links with other strikers if Lampard's okay with just Abraham and Batshuayi for the rest of the season. And Lampard suggested last week that Giroud will only be allowed to leave if if it works for him and the squad.
  19. If Giroud is off, does that mean we have gotten someone...?
  20. It's only on loan. He hasn't been great but could at least give us options till the summer and then we go for the big targets.
