  1. Can someone please check on @killer1257?
  2. 'It's difficult to have respect for some things he did': Gary Cahill opens up to Sportsmail's Jamie Redknapp from isolation, reflecting on Maurizio Sarri's man-management, his Chelsea 'whirlwind' and staying fit during football's coronavirus suspension
  3. This whole Coutinho thing would actually be believable if the usual Chelsea-English journalists have mentioned it but all the stories are coming from Spain or Barcelona-based media so far...
  4. Barkley's 18/19 league numbers look decent...until you realize that the 3 goals and 3 of the 5 assists all came in October 2018, when he had that purple patch. If you take that out of the equation, it's 0 goals and just 2 assists in 1,049 minutes. That highlighted part is just an assumption. There's no guarantee he will give you 10 goals and 10 assists per season just you because you double his returns based on the minutes. Barkley played 2,287 league minutes in 13/14 and had 6 goals and 2 assists; 3,086 league minutes in 15/16 and had 8 goals and 8 assists; 2,906 league minutes in 16/17 and had 5 goals and 9 assists. Some players are just not consistent enough to hit double figures in both goals and assists, like Willian.
  5. Doesn't look like the club are furloughing the staff. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11968597/premier-league-clubs-furlough-pay-cuts-deferrals
  6. Liverpool getting praised for making a u-turn on something they should never have done in the first place. They really are the media darlings...
  7. Meh. They only made the u-turn because of the huge backlash. Otherwise, they would have stuck to their decision of taking advantage of the scheme that wasn't mean for them. Embarrassing.
  8. Seems like everyone at the club is still getting paid fully. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11969457/coronavirus-manchester-united-choose-not-to-use-government-furlough-scheme-for-staff
  9. We haven't spent obscenely big in past years and I don't see that suddenly changing now, especially with this whole coronavirus situation. It remains to be seen how much UEFA will adjust the Financial Fair Play rules to help clubs go through the current situation, because I would be very surprised if they suspend it altogether (would defeat the purpose of the rule being introduced in the first place) but it looks like it will only affect the 2020/21 season. We do have loads of players to sell but you know every club will suffer financial losses from the coronavirus situation and we still do not know how it will affect the clubs, even with UEFA relaxing the FFP. Clubs may well have smaller budgets than before this and we might not sell the players that we want to sell. Might end up loaning them out again.
  10. All UEFA have said is this on FFP is this... https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/news/newsid=2641230.html Would imagine they would just relax some restrictions, but not entirely because that would just defeat the purpose of the whole FFP to begin with, even taking the whole coronavirus financial repercussions into account.
  11. Have any of usually reliable Chelsea sources (e.g. Matt Law) even reported about us wanting Coutinho? All the noise seems to be coming from Spain only...
