Well, Havertz is supposedly/will be the best German player ever. So, who knows..?
ENTERTAIN ME, JYPE! There is no club football, the deal hasn't even been announced. IT'S ALL VERY BORING! AND 2020 IS FUCKED UP!
Does experience really matter in identifying talent?
I guess you're not wrong there and if you don't want to consider Cech, fine. What about Lollichon? He must know his stuff about GKs, right?
And I'd assume the club wouldn't just buy players on the back of recommendation from someone without any data, scouting report etc to back it up.
My point is, it wouldn't have made much difference either way with Hazard. It was simply his dream to play for Real Madrid, to wear that famous white shirt. Also remember Ronaldo at Man United? They were challenging for the titles every season, won leagues and the Champions League and yet he still wanted to go to Real Madrid.
Donkeys, piano playing and his 'accidental' lunch with Rudi Voller - the making of Chelsea target Kai Havertz

Didn't Cech and Christophe Lollichon recommend Mendy? I haven't seen enough of Mendy to judge myself but if Cech and Lollichon recommended Mendy, then he must be good enough at the very least to play for us.
But Switzerland aren't in UK's exemption list.
Nothing has been said about Havertz's situation but going by what Sky Sports said about Van De Beek's, Havertz would have to be registered as a Chelsea player before Germany's game in Switzerland to be exempted from quarantine.
Don't think I did? Might be wrong but I don't recall saying it.
The GK position turned out to be as much of an issue as our attacking problems last season and yet, we've spent most of our budget to solve the latter and still haven't bought in anyone to solve the former, with the new season less than 2 weeks away. The options are hardly outstanding either.
It is kinda silly that we spent so much money on attacking players - half of them on one player that we maybe do not need - and are now left scrambling for an above average option for a position that gave us so many problems last season. We could end up with a situation where our good work going forward gets undone by a dodgy keeper at the back this coming season.
