You're not wrong, mate. You have all the power to talk about whatever you want!

Bring on Bayern!

With the away goals rule now gone, starting the first leg at home might not be a big disadvantage like before.
-
Nothing to suggest that we won't go buy another attacker if we sell Ziyech.
-
But he's at his peak age, he's supposed to be the finished article and yet his performances have been inconsistent. If he goes somewhere else and does well, it could be down to several factors why that could be the case, such as the nature of the league for example as opposed to the manager not getting the best out of him. And not to mention, Ziyech has also gotten more chances than De Bruyne and Salah ever did here.
-
He turns 29 next year though, completely different scenario to the De Bruyne and Salah situations.
-
Emery is out of the picture. Eddie Howe is now the favorite apparently. 🤣
-
Ziyech is not even injury prone like Pulisic is. He's literally missed only one game through injury this season.

PERMUTATIONS: Need only a point in the final two games to guarantee qualification. To get a top spot finish, we need to beat Juventus and match/better their result in the final game. If we beat Juventus by ONE goal, the overall GD of the group will be first tie-breaker if we both end up with the same number of points. If we beat Juventus by TWO goals or more, we will have the H2H advantage if we both end up with the same number of points.

Game is over now but the Krasnodar home game was the last one last season. It was a dead rubber.
-
That Pulisic miss reminded me of this...
-
You said it as if Lukaku has not missed some silly chances this season. And also, if Lukaku was playing upfront instead of Havertz, our attacking play would have been completely different.
-
Well, he's gotta get them out of trouble first and then see which players want to join them.
-
His first season at Arsenal was okay but did he really convince? All his best work has literally come in Spain with Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal.

Tuchel. Klopp. Guardiola. Conte. Arguably the 4 best managers in the world right now are in the Premier League and not one of them is at Man United.
-
You could say that or Emery is a manager who only does well in his own country. He also had a spell at Spartak Moscow and lasted only 6 months.
-
Sure. It's not like Mourinho has set the world alight at Roma. To potentially save a huge compensation fee if they have to sack Conte? Contract these days are just numbers. If the manager does well, they can just extend the contract. If not, bye bye. We also initially handed Tuchel an 18-month contract, before we decided to extend it after he won the CL. And Conte's contract with Spurs has an option to extend a further year anyway.

This is funny. Other Chelsea fans I spoke to are scared that he will get injured against Mexico, more so than against Jamaica.
-
For starters, if he can't win the Europa Conference League with Spurs, he should just retire immediately.
-
Don't get me wrong. You can only do your job and beat what's in front of you (I might have misremembered his time at Juventus a little). But guess what I'm trying to say is, Conte hasn't yet challenged and won a league title against another side in their peak shape, bit like how City and Liverpool were neck-and-neck for basically the whole season in 2018/19. Is he able to do that with 1-3 of us, City and Liverpool in top form? Plus another thing with Conte is Europe. Can he challenge for the title and in Europe at the same time? When he won the league with us, we weren't in Europe and in his first season with Inter, they fell short of the title as they went all the way to the Europa League final. In his second season, Inter got eliminated in the Champions League group stage and Conte then practically had a clear run and focus for the league since December. Okay, he still managed to win the league in his second and third seasons at Juventus despite going deep in Europe but that's somewhat long ago now and recent evidence suggests otherwise.
-
There's also the small matter of the game against Mexico... Also, I noticed the other day that the CONCACAF and CONMEBOL have WCQs in late January.
-
Not to discredit his title wins (including ours) but I wonder how long, if at all, will he take to make Spurs challenge for the title? When he won the 3 Serie A titles at Juventus, the league was somewhat in the doldrums without any credible challenges from the other side apart from maybe AC Milan and Roma. When he won the Premier League with us, Guardiola and Klopp were still getting to terms with the league. Granted, Conte adapted the fastest and kudos to him for that but once the other two got up to speed, especially Guardiola, Conte couldn't really keep up with the challenge. Maybe that wasn't helped as well by Conte being a drama queen in his second season. Then at Inter, okay, he got them close in his first season and managed to win the Serie A in his second campaign but it took an ailing/falling Juventus side for that to happen. So, I just wonder whether he can keep up the challenge with us, City and/or Liverpool if we're all at our peak.
