  1. Yes. Expect him to partner Terry in defence with Bosingwa going back to RB.
  2. How true was that anyway? Probably just a work of the English media to fuel up speculation.
  3. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/01/alan-pardew-newcastle-united-chelsea Interesting..
  4. Really?! Well, this could be interesting. Good luck to him.
  5. Well, here's a bit of encouragement for the Bolton vs Tottenham game: 1. Tottenham have only won ONCE in 12 Premier League meetings at the Reebok - W1 D4 L7. 2. Tottenham are winless in their last 8 Premier League away games - D4 L4. Last win came in Dec 27 where they triumphed 2-0 at Carrow Road.
  6. Here's a couple of stats on today's game: 1. Chelsea are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge against Newcastle in Premier League history - P17 W11 D6. 2. Chelsea have not lost to Newcastle in the 9 Premier League encounters - W5 D4. Last defeat(1-0) came at SJP on May 06. 3. However, Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 3 trips to Stamford Bridge in all competitions - 1 CC win & 2 PL draws. 4. Newcastle have a poor record in their last 14 Premier League trips down to London - W2 D3 L9. 5. Alan Pardew has never beaten Chelsea as a manager in 6 encounters with 3 different clubs(West Ham, Charlton & Newcastle) - D1 L5. 6. Newcastle have scored just 3 goals in their last 8 Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge. 7. Chelsea have opened the scoring first in 13 of 16 games under Di Matteo. Other 3 was 0-0s against Tottenham & Arsenal and 2-2 draw with Barcelona. 8. Newcastle have only dropped 10 points in matches when they have scored first in 22 Premier League games this season - W18 D1 L3. 9. Newcastle have not won a single match in the 10 Premier League games they conceded first this season - D4 L6.
  7. FT Liverpool 0-1 Fulham Just watch them turning up against us on Saturday.
  8. Yes, they were. Blackpool were fined for doing the same too last season.
  9. Both should be back when the CL final comes around but they could still return earlier than that.
  10. We'll hear no end of all the Torres jokes if we lose this & WILL surely be taunted when we visit Anfield for the PL game next Tuesday!
  11. Not surprising but it appears that the caveman has rested 8 of his starting XI in Liverpool's PL game tonight.
  12. That's a somewhat reasonable amount and like I said before, it's unlikely all our transfers this summer will cost more than 20m each.
  13. That's because we just got another 1K tickets today.
  14. I know the implications but as I said, you're making it sound like it's gonna be end of the world or something. Calm down and think positive.
  15. @ rover: Where did you get that from?
  16. @ cap, I'm actually still wondering what on earth was Grant doing till now in that last gif.
  17. Doesn't have to be the striker. Could easily be the other way round. AND as much as the FFP rules are coming, you're making it soundsas if we're broke or something & can only spend peanuts on transfers!
  18. There are. It's just depends on whether the club is smart enough in their transfers like Newcastle have.
  19. A marquee signing or two is likely this summer but no one is saying we'll be spending big on every transfers.
  20. We still need a striker as much as a creative midfielder. Torres may have found some form recently but he's still a hit-and-hope striker at the moment. No guarantees he will return to his best.
