Probably but when 3 managers now have said the same thing about CHO, then you gotta wonder whether it's actually true. Putting the others aside, I don't think CHO did much at all in the second half. Barring the 5-10 minutes period when we got the penalty, there was no desired impact from him. Only reason there's all this furore was because Tuchel subbed a sub.

Could have won today and gone 5 points clear of Liverpool to give ourselves a small margin of error. Instead, we're only 3 points clear and we play United next while they go to Sheffield United, before that game at Anfield.
-
Can we borrow Ancelotti for the game at Anfield? That's his 8th win in 16 games against Liverpool as manager and has lost only twice in the last 10 meetings.

WE COULD HAVE GONE 5 POINTS CLEAR OF THEM!

4 consecutive PL home losses 6 consecutive PL home games without a win Guess who are Liverpool playing in their next home league game...?

But he had a hamstring problem back then... https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/players/callum-hudson-odoi-Chelsea-sarri-15599126

Can't really disagree with that but he's also not been like the worst signing either, like how people (not you specifically) are seemingly making it out to be. He has shown glimpses of what he can do. As much as we want to criticize the new signings, I think the second season is the best time to judge the players, especially with all the shit circumstances this season. One would hope things will return to some sort of normality next season - e.g. proper pre-season, no crazy fixture schedule - although the Euros being on is not helpful.

I think the problem is Tuchel's decision to play the back 3. He said it himself that Alonso is more suited to the system than Chilwell.

lol Get lost!

Would have been interesting to see the reaction had Lampard done it instead of Tuchel...
-
Okay, I thought our muscle injury problems under Lampard were bad but christ, looks like it's 100x worse at Liverpool!
-
HA HA! No way Tuchel will drop him. Alonso is like a pest that just won't go away no matter how many times you try to kill it. Ridiculous how he's just wormed his way back into the XI because of a managerial change.
-
That's your opinion. Considering Klopp wanted him, I'd imagine he had a plan for Werner and it's not like Mane/Salah/Firmino are getting any younger either. And by the way, Klopp only went after Jota after Werner decided to join us. Otherwise, he would have signed the latter instead.
-
Let's see how this holds up in the coming games...
-
Here's the thing if we play Werner upfront by himself, he becomes pretty much what Vardy is to Leicester. You would have to find him early and play balls in to get him on goal. Otherwise, you won't see much of him.
-
Honestly, I now just wish Werner had gone to Liverpool instead. Would probably have been better for his career development to play under Klopp and in a settled squad at Liverpool instead. Better to see than him playing in this mess of a club and then see all these weekly **** takes about him.

TAKE WHAT WE CAN GET AND RUN WITH IT!

Atletico Madrid with 1 win in their last 4 games, just lost today as well. In crisis mode. 🙃

I can understand if he's not able to go full throttle as a sub but at the very least, you gotta at least show glimpses of getting into form, give Tuchel reasons to actually start him. He started against Wolves and Barnsley under Tuchel and did zilch. He has looked slow, ponderous, easily brushed off the ball etc. Right now, he'll have to rely on Tuchel's faith to actually start him.
-
As much as it would be embarrassing to crash out of the Round of 16 again, it might not be worse this time (swear I've said the same thing in past seasons, lol) as it would allow us to focus finishing in the Top 4 (god, we're becoming like Arsenal!).
-
If we're being honest, Giroud hasn't done much this season when he's not among the goals. Being 35 later this year, he doesn't have it anymore to be consistent week in week out and his strength(s) would also require the team to play differently to what Tuchel is trying to do.
-
Err, that was different? Mourinho was already in the process of dragging everyone down that season anyway and not sure if that decision made any difference, especially when you consider Matic went to join Mourinho at Man United. Regarding the sub with CHO today, I do think Tuchel took the risk by subbing him off but on the flip side, Tuchel has been the one that's given CHO the most opportunities. Yes, today's sub wasn't great but he can either take it on the chin and prove Tuchel wrong moving forward or this will go completely in the wrong direction (lol). While Lampard didn't always play CHO, there might be some merit to his complaints about CHO not working at hard and all, which was the point that Tuchel mentioned post-match. We can argue that there are others who were worse etc but that's a separate debate altogether.

Are you talking about today? If yes, then he was in the squad. The problem with Ziyech is he's not giving any reason for Tuchel to start him at the moment. Yes, you can say that he needs consistent game time to get into form but we also do not have lots of "free games" to play him into form. Either he starts impacting games whenever he gets the minutes now or he sits on the bench.
