Goodness me. Here we go again. When would people ever realize that he is in good form right solely because Moyes is playing him mainly behind the ST?!! He was absolutely useless when Moyes played him as a defensive midfielder. Poor passing ability. Immobile. Slow on the ball. And makes rash challenges!

An absolute must win game this. Feel our qualification for the KO largely hinges on this game. Do not want to head to Turin on Matchday 5 needing a win. Fail to win this and we'll have massive problems! And oh, Shakhtar head into this game on the back of a 37-game unbeaten run(W35 D2)!

If there is one positive thing to take from today's game, it's the solid CB partnership of Cahill and Ivanovic. Both were no nonsense in their defending and did what was asked of them first and foremost as a defender as both made vital block and interceptions. If this solidity is anything to go by, then I hope we see more of this partnership in the future.

Think it may take him awhile to shake off his rustiness before getting into full flight in the team.

Don't think there is ever a game now that we don't talk about him now after it. The sooner he leaves, the better it will be for us and perhaps him too. Only downside is we have to rely on him for between 10 to 15 more games till we get in another and better ST in his place!

A very impressive league debut from him. Can still improve going forward but he was defensively very solid. Defended well against Swansea's wide players and overlapping play. He basically didn't let anything went past him.

Indeed. People overreact when he makes a mistake and then downplay and take him for granted when he makes a great save as they always choose to focus on the negatives than positives.

He had 216 appearances for the club. Should be more than justify his place in the Top 15 and he was vital to our defensive solidity under Mourinho. And I'm very surprised to see Mata in No.15! Gotta say the list does look a bit crap! His penalty in Munich played a huge part in that.
