  1. No. There's a slight difference. Hazard received a red card for this while Terry didn't for his case. This charge is not about the red card/3-match ban, it's about the possibility of extending it further. So, right now, Hazard will serve the 3-match ban starting from this Sunday no matter what. Remains to be seen whether he will serve more than a 3-match ban(likely to).
  2. Problem is, who can we get in as replacement now?! All the supposed targets of Roman are still having a job right now.
  3. What's the point? So many already backed Hazard before this and the FA still wants to punish him. The way he went about getting the ball may not have been pretty but a 3-match ban would have been sufficed FFS!
  4. Considering it's the FA, hardly a surprise that Hazard has been charged. They are completely blowing this out of proportion! Elsewhere...
  5. Bit of team news: Benitez has just said in his PC that Luiz won't be available for this game. Out with an ankle injury and it's a recurrence of his previous ankle injury. Doubtful for Reading next Wednesday too. Terry might have a chance to play in this game.
  6. Think you are blowing things out of proportion a bit. Yes, our squad at the moment is depleted but when everyone is fit and available(which we will get more players back soon), we are capable of dealing with Premier League and FA Cup games.
  7. According to the Irish Independent, Mourinho's future at Real Madrid will depend on outcome against Man United in CL. http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/champions-league/jose-mourinhos-future-hinges-on-manchester-united-clash-3364296.html
  8. As some have mentioned, the league should be the priority first and foremost and then the FA Cup. On the other hand though, even if we try to go for the FA Cup, don't think it will distract or affect us too much in the league since the games are played on a weekend anyway and we'll then just have a few league games here and there in midweek, that's all. If anything, the earlier we exit from the Europa League, the better. Even though I want to see us win that, exiting that competition would mean less fixtures and give the players a bit of breathing space to rest and focus on the league and then FA Cup.

  10. Chelsea's Eden Hazard has an exemplary disciplinary record
  11. Given the occasion, if the players can't even motivate themselves and needs to be motivated every time by the manager, then they need to have a look at themselves. And maybe they really need to. Yesterday wasn't the first time the players have not performed this season in the big games where we really needed them to stand up and be counted. Think it has just reached a point where everyone just wants to blame Benitez for anything and everything that goes wrong here even though other parties are to be blamed as well.
  12. TBF, think the whole team needs one. The players have basically been playing every 3-4 days since the start of the season. Fatigue is taking its toll, if not already.
  13. Has joined Rubin Kazan. Locking thread...
  14. Has joined Juventus. Locking thread...
  15. If that is the case, then why were there complains about the players not performing and taking responsibility under say Ancelotti previously? I agree with you saying the manager is the person that holds the team together but the effort and commitment must come from both parties - manager and players. The manager can train the players all day long, drill them into executing this tactic, that tactic etc in training but ultimately, it's the players who go out there and perform what the manager does. They can only do as much as because it's completely out of their hands once players step onto the field. Not denying Benitez isn't without his faults either but I find it amusing that everyone is just blaming him when something goes wrong and no one else(perhaps only the board) yet in the past, people did almost the opposite. Some blame managers. Some blame players. The players should be shouldering some of the responsibility/blame as well. There's no excuse going from beating Everton away to losing at home against QPR. Thrashed Southampton, then lost to Swansea thanks to 2 blunders by Ivanovic. Ran riot at Stoke and then let a 2-goal lead slip at home to Southampton. There's just no consistency in our results right now and we have had chances to win some of those games but the players didn't take them. Is it Benitez's fault then? No. Same thing happened under RDM as well and that is why we had some poor results under him as well. Did anyone blame RDM then?
  16. Think that was reported before the news came out about FA reviewing the incident. No official word that Hazard will serve just a 3-match ban yet.

  18. Not a foregone conclusion yet. Malaga are trying to appeal against it - http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/champions-league-malaga-appeal-cas-ban-142650764.html.
  19. Why WTF? Shouldn't be surprised by it. There was no concrete news whatsoever that we are buying him or have that first refusal clause agreement with Malaga.
  20. True but with the lack of options at the moment, we really could do with him available for us. And yes, Hazard has played in every game for us this season, the only player in the team to have done so.
  21. Find it funny that under previous managers, when something goes wrong, you have people who blame the manager, players for not performing and taking responsibility and other factors. Now, if anything goes wrong, all the blame is on Benitez and nothing elsewhere...
