So, you're basically indicating there that the player voluntarily praised Benitez in interviews etc? Thinking your feelings on Benitez is making this an issue when it isn't one. I don't recall reading and/or listening to our players mentioning Benitez's name all of a sudden in interviews. If the interviewer/journalist asks something about Benitez, then they will speak about him. If not, they do not talk about him and just answer the question as it is. That's the general problem really. Because we all hate Benitez so much, some people become sensitive and assume that the likes of Mata, Azpi, Luiz etc have turned into a Benitez loyalist based on just simple diplomatic response when there is nothing more than just that, a diplomatic response.

Yes, that is true but think we could have done with some favors from elsewhere just to give us some breathing space, if you like. Things maybe in our hand overall but you stil never know what's gonna happen with our results. One dodgy moment in a game could change the result altogether.

Taking initiative? Why would the players suddenly just go to the media and say nice things about Benitez? Of course the players are just gonna answer questions diplomatically when being asked them. As for asking the younger players and not the senior ones, lets not forget the media have an agenda against us and knowing that us fans hate Benitez, they are likely to ask those that weren't here when our rivalry against Liverpool was at its highest point previously and get favourable response about Benitez to make him look like an angel, a good man and us silly of hating him. The whole point here is, why are people even reading so much into what Mata, Luiz, Azpi etc said about Benitez? Some of the things they have said about him is basically just the truth in terms of some improvement we have made under Benitez, even if we don't like to admit it. They are just stating the facts and what is apparent. Nothing more. Nothing less.
