We have got Mata, Schurrle, Willian and De Bruyne to play out wide and for whatever reason, Mourinho decided to play Ramires on the RW. Missed his energy and physicality in midfield in the first half and was crucial in our second half performance turnaround when he got moved to the middle.

That was arguably his best performance for us since he came. Full of energy, running and took the piss out of the Spurs defence. Helped to give the attack impetus and momentum that we have hardly ever seen from him before. However, just like after the Swindon game, not getting carried away with this one bit. He needs to be doing this week in week out regardless of the opposition and not only choose to turn up whenever he wants to.

Think there is just way too much emphasis on defending. Not saying it isn't important but seems that under Mourinho so far, we are more concern with defending than attacking..

With the way we defend sometimes, you gotta wonder if we would probably be better off not having a defence and just play all attackers. It just feel like Cech is the only one in the defence at times.

Thing is why play Ramires out wide when we've got Schurrle or even Willian to play there. They provide the defensive cover and also the attacking side, which something Ramires isn't good at when playing out wide.

Poor excuse to say Hazard needs space to shine. That's basically the general need for attacking players but the genuine quality players stand above the rest because they can make a difference in games through different ways rather than only relying on space to shine.

It's no wonder that Azpi has lost his 'job' in the team. No longer needed as a translator.

Maybe so but for a player of his quality (and others), we are yet to really see that this season. And don't tell me that every time he doesn't perform or goes on a run where he doesn't perform, people are gonna use that excuse of 'teams parked bus against us. no time and space'...

No doubt his English has improved quite a bit! Better than Oscar.

Kinda disagree with that. Think it's more of the reverse. Defensively, he is still a suspect and lacking that awareness and of his positioning. The only thing that is saving him is his blistering pace.

Getting more time and space doesn't mean one will immediately perform better. Even against teams that have parked the bus, hardly anyone has stood out against such oppositions. To use excuses such as 'other teams parked the bus. more space this time' is somewhat nonsensical. If a player with quality, and we got so many of them in our ranks, can't even perform to his capabilities against lesser players or oppositions, then there is no reason to suggest they will do the opposite against better players or oppositions immediately like turning on and off a tap water. Right now, it's more of a case of hoping they will turn up and perform rather than expecting them to do so.

Another tough situation for De Bruyne. Played well against Hull, so-so against United and then went completely unused till Wednesday. It's probably gonna be awhile before he even plays again. Shame. A case of having too much depth..

Mourinho batted away most of the questions in his presser about AVB. And he seems to get tetchy and pissed whenever being asked about it too.

Doubt it. And it was either us or Spurs to play on the Tuesday as the latter also play their league game on Sunday. Will be surprised if Mourinho is actually serious about it. Obviously taking it with a pinch of salt.

Yeah but then was curious to know which 50 players(or more) are better than Mata since Rom2013 said so..
