Chelsea 'boring' criticism is 'absolute nonsense', says Gary Neville... no-one remembers 'entertaining losers'

On the other hand, we played arguably the best football in the first half of the season. Lost any faith then? Our performances clearly haven't been the same since January but because of various circumstances - suspensions, injuries, drop in form etc - we had to tweak and perhaps become a little more pragmatic. We're gonna run a risk if we try to open and expansive football when the players aren't at it. Otherwise, we risk another *ahem* 5-3. Let's also be fair a bit, the performances in 2015 haven't been as good as the last months of 2014 but we have had a few good performances along the way. The only issue we weren't scoring enough goals to make the wins look more convincing (like against Stoke for instance).

Poor first half but much better in the second and overall, think we deserved the win. Once we upped our game, Leicester barely got a sniff.

Oh joy. First it was all the talk of Hazard going to PSG. Now, it's Real Madrid. The goals aside, Hazard is so much better at everything else than Bale.

Mourinho said no on Sunday. The club Twitter account mentioned that but then mysteriously deleted the tweet. He's not in the provisional squad stated in the DM piece above.

Big teams are expected to crush the smaller sides but why should one take that for granted though? And Guardiola forged the reputation at Barcelona based on the performances in all of the games. To say it's built on just certain games is nonsense.

There is nothing wrong with forming opinions based on the big games but to pass judgment based solely on that smacks of ignorance. If people feel it's boring and all that, then fine. But it doesn't make them right to say 'oh Mourinho is boring' just because of the big games. You don't judge a team's style of play just on the big games.

Precisely what I alluded to in the previous post - selective memory. Only picking out certain games to say Mourinho is boring when there others to prove he isn't and there are circumstances as to why we have been playing differently this year but of course, people have chosen to ignore that as well.

Griezmann is really more of a goalscorer than a goal creator, even when he used to play out wide for Real Sociedad (he's only got 24 assists in his club career but has 77 goals). At Atletico Madrid, he's playing in the striker position these days and as much as he's a quality player, I don't think he is what we need to be honest.

You mean you want him to say that just to satisfy your needs? Why should Mourinho conform to the masses when he has a different view on the subject at hand? There's more than one way/approach to take in football and people are acting as if playing attacking football is the only way to go. All this talk about boring/negative football is really BS. It's almost as if people were only born in 2015 or they just decided to conveniently forget the attacking, expansive football we played in the first half of the season to suit their own agenda.

But we weren't really playing on the break in the game. We saw plenty of the ball in the second half and at one point, we had like 60%+ possession. The only issue is we didn't make more of it. Think that tame shot from Drogba was the only notable effort we had in the second period.
