To be fair, no one is asking for 5-6 new players. People just want 1, if not 2, signing(s) to fix the obvious issue in the midfield area.

Maybe the player doesn't want to come here and sit on the bench, thus forcing us to pursue other alternatives? Moreover, just because we are looking at cheaper options, it doesn't mean it's a sign of desperation.

That might be the case but unless you have seen him play regularly, it's silly to pass judgment on Telles and say he's worse than Player X, Y, Z etc.

Nothing interesting there IMO considering he's done it before. Mourinho won't start with two strikers up top but he will do that when we are chasing a game.

Don't get me wrong. I certainly want us to spend more (and think Mourinho wants to as well) because certain areas in the squad need improvement but if the board insists on sticking with the 'One Out One In' policy and the prudent approach, then what can he do? He just has to put a brave face on and get on with it...unless he wants to start another 'war'.

Even though we all want the club to spend a little bit more, Mourinho has always emphasized the 'One Out One In' policy and our prudent approach in the transfer market. I don't see him providing any other response to the media or them causing 'trouble', unless he goes public about his unhappiness with our lack of spending.

Not sure why Ake is in there considering Mourinho doesn't even fancy him (for whatever reason). You have mentioned only the injury factor. What about the players' form? And Azpi, Ivanovic and Zouma aren't going to be injured at the same time? It's unlikely but we had Costa, Remy and Drogba all on the treatment table at one point last season (if not three, at least two were out injured at the same time). And Stones can play at RB too.

Well sooner or later, Terry will have to retire and we will miss having a big player and character like him. But life goes on...

While Terry was impressive and Ivanovic being decent last season, there's no guarantee that they will show the same kind of form again in 2015/16, especially in the case of Terry. On top of that, we were lucky that they did not suffer any injuries last campaign. If they do this time around, then we'll be screwed if we don't have enough backups.
