Not in a attacking 4 3 3 solo Defensive Midfield role. You can place any player out there in the attack, but if Mikel is the orchestration, the same problems will occur. He is best alongside Lampard in a 4231

Because Romeu has bags of potential at such a young age and he actually checks to the ball as a proper defensive midfielder should, quick passing and his movement off the ball is what shines the most of his quality. When ever we try to play attacking, our defenders just pass back and forth to one another than chucks in long. Mikel and Lampard had a great partnership at the end of the season due to the fact we were relying on the defend and counter tactic. In a 4 3 3, Romeu would be my first choice. Impossible. Malouda is still on the team.
