  1. After consulting with Shane, Aiden McGeady deserves a mention.
  2. Poor Harry. He thought he'd be working for the FA, but now he has FA to do.
  3. "Scotty" is a calamity, that's pretty well known. Useless harrier in midfield.
  4. You forget Mario Jardel, in that list of Brazilian's that went rubbish after hitting 30. Perhaps even Maicon should get a look in. Javier Saviola has had an awful career if you compare it to the predictions for him. Next Maradona and all that, Pele had him in that FIFA 100 list (which was ridiculously shit, but still, he was the youngest man on that list). Now he's turning poor performances out for Benfica and according to Football Manager is a free agent soon.
  5. Whatever said and done, this is a lot better than that criminal deal they have in La Liga strangling the rest of Spanish football to death to serve the interest of two clubs.
  6. Fuck off Wenger you cheap cunt. Find another free transfer. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/salomon-kalou-keen-on-arsenal-move-883495
  7. Yes, I already said that many attackers find it far easier in the Netherlands than other leagues. Which is strange. I'll just assume that Dutch defenders are horrible. Speaking of Dutch defenders, that Ryan Donk guy was meant to be the next Jaap Stam or something. He had a great 05-07 period and Barcelona were in for him at one point.
  8. He's suited to being the big fish in a small pond. He was much poorer at Real Madrid and AC Milan. It's all fun and games smashing in 50 a season with teams like Schalke or Ajax, but essentially it's worthless if you can't do it at a proper big club.
  9. For every van Persie, RVN, etc, there's an Afonso Aves or a Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
  10. To be honest, he was twice the player in Holland as he has been here. But all attackers look world class in Holland.
  11. No, I don't think he belongs in this thread. He was a hot prospect but he was never touted as a future superstar who would lead his country to a World Cup win and his club to domination. He was more of an Arjen Robben than a Diego Maradona. This thread is for the Cherno Samba's and Freddy Adu's of the world, who were supposed to do that kind of thing.
  12. I disagree. His lack of consistency is by far his biggest drawback.
  13. Stop going off topic, and discuss the tale of woe that is Cherno Samba's life story.
  14. More on Cherno Samba: http://www.guardian....ewsstory.sport5
  15. Yeah, we're all casual racists in Australia. Shut up Spike ya white cunt
  16. Cherno Samba. Freddy Adu. Neymar (prediction).
  17. I wrote about that: http://www.talkchelsea.net/ex-blues/_/salomon-kalou-r10
  18. I don't think a statue is right in the short term. We have to wait until he's at least ended his career. Or we can go down the Levallois route and build "Le Stade Didier Drogba" in London.
  19. As I have said to you before Sloth, I'm never sure when you're serious or trolling
  20. 30. Right backs good at defending are rare these days, it'll be a struggle to replace him.
  21. I can't wait for some delusional Spud to say that Mourinho or Pep are coming in.
  22. I think it's virtually impossible now for a team to defend it's CL crown. May we be the first to prove that wrong!
  23. We all should be behind him. Except for the glory hunters we may have picked up in the last month or so. What's funny is that a lot of rival supporters think he's rubbish and that the team managed itself. Clearly John Terry (who's their answer to every Chelsea 'conspiracy'), with no qualifications and not noted for his intelligence is a better manager than Di Matteo
