They're not a threat, at least immediately. As TC said, super teams don't always work out as expected, especially not in a short period of time. I can see them doing a City and troubling the bigger teams 3-4 years down the track, though.

2 trophies out of 7 3rd/4th place in the PL Knockout stages of the CL Anything more than that will surely be beyond us.

No I'm not, only weirdos live in places like northern Europe. It's like you want to be uncomfortable all year round. At least in Australia we only have about 4 months of inhospitable weather (fuck off, summer).- 671 replies

Why would anyone go to Scotland?! Miserable place Seriously though I don't handle cold weather well at all. Sydney is on the limit of my cold tolerance, and we're talking minimums of at the most -1 degrees here. Funny as I hate summer weather and live for the winter months.- 671 replies

Weird, I didn't get a notification for that. I made it, I can call it what I like. Stop being so pedantic, you're arguing semantics. That last line sounds great- 671 replies

And for those who've never heard of Pauline Hanson: Pauline Lee Hanson (née Seccombe; born 27 May 1954[1]) is an Australian politician and former leader of Pauline Hanson's One Nation, a political party with a populist and anti-multiculturalism platform. In 2006, she was named by The Bulletin as one of the 100 most influential Australians of all time.[2] Hanson was raised in Woolloongabba, an inner city suburb of Brisbane. Her grandfather was an immigrant from England in 1908. Her father owned atake-away fish and chip shop. Hanson left school at the age of fifteen after completing Year 10 and worked in a variety of unskilled clerical and service jobs. She accumulated several rental properties, becoming independently wealthy. She married twice and has four children. Before entering politics, she owned a fish and chip shop in Ipswich, a city near Brisbane. And here is an excerpt of her first ever address to the Australian House of Representatives: Immigration and multiculturalism are issues that this government is trying to address, but for far too long ordinary Australians have been kept out of any debate by the major parties. I and most Australians want our immigration policy radically reviewed and that of multiculturalism abolished. I believe we are in danger of being swamped by Asians. Between 1984 and 1995, 40% of all migrants coming into this country were of Asian origin. They have their own culture and religion, form ghettos and do not assimilate. Of course, I will be called racist but, if I can invite whom I want into my home, then I should have the right to have a say in who comes into my country. A truly multicultural country can never be strong or united. The world is full of failed and tragic examples, ranging from Ireland to Bosnia to Africa and, closer to home, Papua New Guinea. America and Great Britain are currently paying the price. Arthur Calwell was a great Australian and Labor leader, and it is a pity that there are not men of his stature sitting on the opposition benches today. Arthur Calwell said: Japan, India, Burma, Ceylon and every new African nation are fiercely anti-white and anti one another. Do we want or need any of these people here? I am one red-blooded Australian who says no and who speaks for 90% of Australians. I have no hesitation in echoing the words of Arthur Calwell. [edit]- 671 replies

I've created a new Aussie meme; featuring Pauline "Female David Duke of Australia" Hanson, and her famous quip, 'Please Explain': Never had it either, and as Spike said, never heard of it/seen it. I thought they were some kind of conglomerate in Scotland that sponsored the second division.- 671 replies

I'll admit that I push the envelope a bit in terms of keeping a straight face when I imply that I have sexual feelings for Kalou but I am totally serious when I'm discussing his ability/my liking for him.

Why would you sell that? It would revolt me to sell any personal artefact belonging to an ancestor unless I had to do it to survive, in which case I would still regret it all my life.- 671 replies

No, he lucked out and wasn't involved in the Fall of Singapore. He had some distant cousins/friends that joined the Indische Freiwilligen-Legion or the Battaglione Azad Hindoustan that were executed/imprisoned for treason/being Nazi collaborators after the war, though.- 671 replies

Are we 'We Hate Scouse-esque'? What Spike said. Aside from heroic military engagements that were necessary (like the Kokoda Track campaign where we had to hold back the Japanese or be invaded), there's not a lot to shout about. I'm not going to include wank ups like Gallipoli or the Boer War, that we first of all shouldn't have been involved in and second of all shouldn't have been slaughtered in if any thought was put into the operation prior to British generals saying "These colonials, lets bring them into the fight as well, eh?".- 671 replies

No, he's still here.

Depart? He hasn't left. He's still here. Why, he even scored a few goals in pre season. What are you talking about? Have you been watching us lately or following the news?!

Sorry. Still a plagiarist! But that's okay, plagiarism is awesome.

We haven't had a player likeable straight off the bat since Kalou, imo.
