  1. £22 million is a good price for him. Sell Essien and Malouda and we could get him for about £16 million. Nice deal. I know he won't single handedly make our central midfield world class but he will add a lot there. This is definitely looking like a summer deal though.
  2. Leif said it perfectly. We should get him or someone of his quality. We are not overloaded with AM's at all. Marin is...well, I think he confuses himself. At this club he'll never be anything more than a wide player. Get this guy in instead of Taison.
  3. Well that's just stupid. We don't want to be like Liverpool buying tons of mediocre players. We should only buy Chelsea level players. I don't think Taison is that. Well, hopefully he's better than Marin at least and then it would have been a good buy to strengthen our depth.
  4. If we buy Fellaini it shouldn't put us off buying a Deep lying playmaker like Benat. Lampard is off in the summer and I don't think the Luiz in CM experminent will last past Rafa's reign. Fellaini's price makes it doubtful we can buy both though. Maybe offer them Essien in the summer? Player + Cash.
  5. Moses is a Winger and KDB can play so many positions he's not an AM. For us he'd play on the wings and in central midfield. Actually you can even say Hazard is better suited out wide so that's only 3 AM's.
  6. Fluid system. No one has a fixed position so Oscar can play as a number 10 for portions of the game.
  7. That's not the point here. The point is we shouldn't be put off buying a 'Moutinho' on the mere 'Potential' Oscar has to play deeper. That's just idiotic.
  8. At this very moment he is a no 10. We can't think of him as anything else. He's potential to be a DLP should not count anymore than the Potential of Cech becoming a Striker. People need to stop talking like Oscar is already a DLP. IF that ever happens, it'll be down the road. Our purchasing of players should not be influenced by the mere potential of Oscar being a DLP one day.
  9. By that Logic we should stick Mata in as a DLP because of his supreme passing and vision. It seems people are only mentioning Oscar as a deep lying playmaker because he hasn't set the world alight yet in his usual position. Give him time (a few seasons) and he will. That is his best position.
  10. Hmmmm, for £15 million or under he's worth it. Anything above it, we would be better off going for someone better.
  11. Perhaps the position in which he has been a starter for quite some time now within arguably the best footballing nation ever. An attacking midfielder, the position in which he built his name. That position.
  12. We would only have 4 AM's. If Isco comes marin should go. So only 4, not 5.
  13. Nothing you mentioned hints at playing him deeper. Everyone is just making assumptions.
  14. I thought people were joking when they said we're only buying players if they are Brazillian (and Belgians/Spaniards). It seems its true...I can't see the interest in him other than his Nationality. Shell out a little more for a player who is substantially better (Isco).
  15. I don't understand where people are making this assumption from? When has this ever been stated? Frank plays in the pivots...
  16. 2 questions: How do you pronounce his name? Is he physical and defensively strong? We could do with a Deep lying playmaker/Defensive miffielder HYBRID (Alonso) which I'm getting the impression Benat is not.
  17. I get the 'Overrated Brazillian' and 'Brazillian Marin' vibes from this. I would prefer a player who starts out as a Squad player but has the potential to be a starter (Like Moses has done). From what I'm reading Taison is mediocre with little potential. Athough, I'd take him (with a bit of Skepticism) as we need depth in the 3 Amigos' position. I'm unsure as to what we are going for. Do we want a winger or another Attacking Midfielder? A host of better options: Sanchez, Nani, Honda, Walcott, Willian, maybe even Zaha (?).
  18. Marin barely plays anyway, is slightly above average and will probably leave IMO. So we need Isco. People who are thinking we're going overkill with AM's. I say, not really. We need depth. Look at ManUre. They have 4 fucking Strikers and were still linked to Lewandowski. So I ask you. What's the difference between that and our situation with AM's? Hazard and especially Oscar need work in order to make a big impact in our team week in, week out. Overall if we get Isco, Marin should leave IMO and bring in KDB who can be the 6th body (2 for every position) in the 3 behind the striker. ---Moses/KDB-----Mata/Oscar----Hazard/Isco--- -----------------------Not Torres------------------------- See? It all works out. KDB can play anywhere among the 3 and also deeper in midfield.
  19. We could be back in for Modric... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2257903/Luka-Modric-linked-Manchester-United-City-Chelsea.html Nothing more than £20 million then we'll talk.
  20. Still needed, in order of importance: Essien Striker CB
  21. Overpriced. Moses has done a good job for us at a tiny fraction of the price of Bale. Not that I'm saying Moses is as good but Moses offers more to our team and is growing. Sanchez would be the best option if we want a winger and Isco or Honda the best option for an attacking midfielder.
  22. Getting Isco will be another great signing. So talented. We have almost no quality in depth in the 3 positions behind the striker (apart from Moses). Marin will be at most a squad player. Really hope this is true.
  23. Ummm what? Anyway Azpi's crossing is a lot better than's Bosingwa's. He just had an off day today.
