If Pep comes in I can see Roman giving him full control. He wants to play attacking football and I'm sure he'll do anything for it, including being patient. Yes he sacked AVB very quickly, but I think he will give Pep more time as this is the man who has coached the Legendary Barcelona side, one of the greatest club sides ever, the side who plays beautiful football. He has to be our 2nd striker or he'll go to another team. I also like what someone mentioned earlier. A 4-2-2-2 system could be amazingly deadly if we have the right players. However we will give up some/alot of width. -----------Torres-----Falcao/Sturridge------ ------Hazard----------------Mata------- ------------Mikel------Lampard-------- It looks great on paper at least, but of course the £40 Million question is whether Torres and Falcao could play together. All in all this is an unlikely team. Our usual 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 is what we're likely to go with. In which case no new striker is needed, 2 wingers are.

FFS stop putting Sturridge on the wing. He needs to play as a CF. That's why we need 2 Wingers, with Marin as backup and possibly KDB and Sturridge also as backup IF NEEDED. Hulk Hazard Marin Malouda (if he stays) There you go, buying Hulk would also mean we don't have to buy another striker as he can play there if needed. You can kill two birds with one stone by buying Hulk.

Mata is better suited as an AM rather than LW. So it's best to keep him as the number 10. Hazard has got good pace and trickery/skills which is why he'd be better suited as a winger than Mata. Hazard and Mata can always switch constantly so I agree somewhat, he can still play here in positions he would like.

Obviously we are not getting Cavani or Falcao now, which is probably for the best. Strengthen the wings and CM and Torres could prosper. We're becoming a Striker's graveyard so brining in another striker would not mean sucess, so stick with Torres.

How about this whole thing about Mancini wanting Thiago Silva? I hope it doesn't happen, as a Silva-Kompany partnership could be world class. Their defence is probably their weak spot but with Silva they would be really strong.

The whole thing about his preferred option being the Playmaker makes it really difficult to say where he will go. One thing is for sure, City are ruled out. The 2 things he wants (Playing time and the Number 10 role) are the 2 things City can't offer. Silva plays and is suited to play behind the striker. It truly is now between us and ManUre. ManUre are favourites. We may not be able to offer him the 'Number 10' role as it is Mata's. The only way we could get him is if he changes his mind and doesn't mind playing on the wings again. The 2nd option is we change it for him by convincing him that the system we will play will be fluid and free flowing meaning he will be able to roam around and swap with Mata regulary, in a 4-2-3-1 system. Both us and ManUre can offer him playing time (us more so). ManUre would have to change their system which I find a hard thing to see happening. However Hazard knows Fergie could turn him into a star. On our end the London lifestyle and Wages are a big attraction. It really is a toss up. ManUre are favourites but I'm hoping we can pull it off. We need to keep going for him still. We can't miss out on him.
