Sturridge quite easily holds his own against them, an that was only after half a season of good form. If we get the best out of him we have a very good player.
  2. This would be ideal but it's not as if we won't make anymore signings in the next few years. I'd also be surprised if Sturridge(sadly), and one of Oscar/Hazard are with us in say, 5 years.
  3. Now you guys have started it... Blackman/Turnbull Hutchinson Cahill Terry Cole Chalobah Lampard Sturridge McEachran Bertrand Bamford
  4. If you go about 15 pages earlier on this thread you'll see the guys saying PVA was better <ok>
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=M9idVNyTsFs Oh Sturridge <3
  6. Torres was poor. Mikel will be important for us this season. Will start the most games out of all our midfielders..including Oscar and Ramires.
  7. Massive shame Vitesse didn't get Europa League. They lost against Anzhi right in the final play off.
  8. de Bruyne was joint highets rated vs Hamburg according to goal.com ratings, with 8/10. They had this to say about him (translated): "Pulled the strings in midfield and had a class passports ready(?). Seemed very agile and showed how much potential in the young Belgian." while they rated Bruma 5.5/10: "He also caught a bad day. Although much was used, however, caused the first penalty when he brought down in the penalty area Elia."

  11. So glad he's staying, Sturridge is quality. For the haters (though I'm guessing they won't be residing on this thread) anyone noticed how hard he worked past two sub appearances? Against Reading and Atletico he worked hard, pressed, tracked back, most notably against Atletico a 70 yard full sprint track back while Luiz was spending the whole match jogging. (not Luiz bashing, I like him, but something was wrong yesterday).
  12. I'm still a fan of Bruma but we just have better CB's coming through now.
  13. Chalobah's loan means more chances for him in a 4231. Played more defensive today though.
  14. Well it seems like the club agree that Chalobah is closer, and rightfully so.
  15. http://frenchfootballweekly.com/2012/05/02/chelsea-loanee-turning-heads-in-ligue-1/ Good read on him
  16. I don't even know why Feruz is being suggested. Currently he is still classed as a schoolboy, he's not even a first year scholar yet.
  17. Becoming the new scapegoat. The attack were all as bad as each other. And anyone asking for him to be sold because of being in bad form is being ridiculous
  18. I was thinking how much he's excelling in a central role - anyone think he could adapt to a deep role - like the one we play in a 4231? His passing and vision all seem excellent and he also has a good shot and awareness. Maybe defensively and discipline wise he isn't best yet but when you look at players like Schweinsteiger it's possible..
  19. Very impressive tonight. He's closer to the first team than Piazon is but he isn't Brazilian so is underrated/
