I don't understand why on Twitter if Sturridge has a bad 10 minute sub he's the devil's spawn, and Moses who was on for longer and equally ineffective has nothing wrote about him. I feel people WANT to criticise Sturridge, incredibly harsh.

Torres was poor last night. Even his link up play was not that good. His first touch let him down constantly, was probably the most dispossessed player on the pitch. Sturridge offers just as more with link up play and movement IMO. Another thing - those ten minutes after the goal when Torres was playing with some sort of confidence? Sturridge plays like that every game, regardless of whether he's scored a goal or playing good or bad.

One poor game on his CL debut at LB doesn't change what a good prospect he is. I'm not worried about Bertrand's ability at all. Cole was just as poor against Swansea and Moses himself just as had on his CL debut against Nordsjeblah.

For the 10 minutes after Torres' goal, he played like Sturridge does every match, regardless if he scores or not or if he's having a bad game. Seen some Torres defenders (different forums) praise him for those 10 minutes - they'll have a pop at Sturridge when he does the same.

Cole out for Liverpool and Shakhtar apparently. Good chance for Bertrand to stake a claim. Cole isn't (or shouldn't be) untouchable - I would have had Bertrand starting Shakhtar regardless.

Why should the team have to adapt to Torres? What's so special about Torres that we have to change our tactical set up for him? HE should change for US. Though I still think he'd be poor anyway.

Sorry, if it didn't come across there I was attempting to be sarcastic with my post. Against United in the first half other than the 3 times he was put through Sturridge did not lose possession, and he saw a lot of the ball.

Sturridge never passes and only shoots which, so that's probably why no one saw it. Of course when he does shoot, that's when everyone notices(!)

We conceded the goal due to Cole throwing the ball right back to the opposition. Since you're so desperate to prove why him not tracking back is a point to how he shoildnt play CF, do you know why Cole was under so much pressure from Hernandez all game? Hazard didn't track back. Guess we can never use him on the wing as well. Last season Mata didn't track back - guess that's why he is used centrally now. Your ridiculous vendetta against Sturridge is tiring.

Wow, so 20 minutes on the right wing proves how he's not allowed to he given a chance over Torres? What about the fact he's got two goals in his last 150mins of playing time, while Torres hasn't scored in over 548 minutes of playing time?
