  1. I did say they are different types of player but they do both play the wing. There are similarities in the way they start wide and enjoy success by cutting in.
  2. Brian Clough was an excellent man manager. The world of football respected him immemsely and Mourinho definitely has a touch of Clough about him.
  3. Mourinho will make Hazard a complete player. I can see his time working C.Ronaldo being a big factor with helping Eden evolve. Thy are different types of player but essentialy they both play the wing in a very similar way. With a player like Ronaldo you don't really have to tell him how to play footy and the same with Eden but Mou will polish his stronger attributes and brush up on the weaker areas of hisgame.
  4. Silva found out? Silva is a class player who just didn't have a season like his year previous. He didn't get 'found out'!
  5. I'm imterested to see how good this Guiran dude is because he is immense on fifa 13!.
  6. Why does there have to be the same old 'people are overracting' bullshit every time we start to pllay like a team! Yea we are playing a shit team but who cares, it's great to see us scoring goals. You lot would only be crying if we lost 2 of our first 3 pre-season games like United have. So enjoy it!
  7. I subconciously do that too. Mikel is wack... that's all that can be said about the guy. He has ability but his laziness and mistakes outwiegh anything decent he has ever done.
  8. WTF .. did you make that hahaha.. that is fucking quality!
  9. I'm sure a lot of people don't actually think the situation through fully before posting crticism. Why on earth would Mourinho want a striker that isn't good enough anymore for the sum of money that United expect for him?? Has Jose lost his marbles? No, he knows what he is doing and I trust this potential transfer because I too can see that Wayne is still a class player with a lot to offer.
  10. It is definitely 100% cheating. If you say it isn't then you don't understand the rules of football. He cheated Ghana out of a historical victory. If he done that to us, you would not be so trivial about the ratty twat.
  11. If Arsenal sign Suarez they will be as good as what our squad was last year.
  12. Stingray.. you're wearing the crown! Well done mate... you deserve it! I know nothing about this geezer but he looks like a mean motherfucker!
  13. I can understand and absolutely agree that Rooney's 'best' days are behind him. Regarding the loss of 'volume of play' that every player experiences towards the tail of end of their career, I truly believe you have to take other things into consideration. Yes speed does become a big factor in certain areas of a players game as age creeps up on them and as much as I hate to use the cliche of Fernandos decline, he is the perfect example. In the early stages of Rooney's career his greatest weapon was the explosive power and pace he used to tear defences apart. Half a dozen of seasons and a handfull of injuries later, his pace has vanished. Does this mean Rooney is deemed surplus to requirements? No and II'll tell you why when playing the striker role at Chelsea won't require pace in Rooney's case. As mentonied in many posts previous, Wayne has world class ability and can score from anywhere within range. SAF played Rooney in the deeper role which would be the logical choice to play someone who has lost his bullyish pace but still has the tools to unlock defences from afar and build attacks. Though this isn't how I expect Mourinho to utilize Wayne's attributes at SW6. Jose is familiar with the Premiership clubs war tactics when it comes to playing us. We all know at least 80% of our Premiership games are played in amd around the oppisitions box and this is why I believe pace isn't a problem for Rooney if he was to join. You say thr lack of pace leads to a regression of mobility and I would have to disagree. You also go on to say that Pirlo doesn't influence games because of a lack in mobility and that would be why I have to disagree with both statements. Pirlo is still a key player for club and especially country. He still has an incredible sense of positioning and awareness of vision. This also falls kindly for Rooney as he possesses both which are still extremely useful tools in football. World Class players tend to be in the right place at the right time and believe me Wayne is no exception. I know that all of Fernando's nightmares have hinged on similar aspects of his game regressing but let's not forget that Wayne has proven his technical ability in the Premiership for a lot longer period than Torres ever did. In conclusion to what I have writen, yes Wayne can't and won't be the explosive player he once was and for me that was when he was at his best but make no mistake that because of his loss in 'volume of play', he still can show that he is a world class striker. With his natural tendency to be in the right place at the right time and score from positions that some players can only dream of will be why Jose wants him here. I think Rooney is the man for the big occasion in club football and what better stage to proove it on than, 'a night with mazcar at the Bridge'.
  14. Don't ever apologise for this again... you hear me! A little downtime on the sickest forum around. We can handle it!
  15. True say, though because Josh likes to play attacking football doesn't mean he can't play safe, possession footy.
  16. Fuck you Hutcho.. just be wrong please ! :-)
  17. If your reffering ot my post. I wasn't sayin he wis the greatest in the world at all. I said I feel he could become of the best in his future. A big difference!
  18. So we are just judging Kevin on 1.5 of pre season freindly games? No we are NOT! We are are judging him on his previous loan spells and International performaces also. That should be obvious as judging him on a few pre season performances would be pretty pointless. I mean MvGinkel hasn't really done much but struggle to make an easy cross field pass but I'll chill on him and wait to see what he can produce when it matters. A lot of us have seen what Kevin is capable of thus far in his career because of his previous.
  19. Haha Subway FTW!In terms of seeing a pass Kevin surpasses the ability of Oscar easily. Compared to Mata I would say they areon the same level when it comes to how they see the game. In terms of execution, Kevin has a while to go before I can say he is as good as Mata when playing a pass. Once he is use to playing with the team though and gains valuable expefience and grows even bigger as a player he could become our most creative player. I have a feeling that at some point Kevin could become our first choice CAM because of Mata's weakness of being soo left footed. That can play a big factor in Matas game when playing against big sides. He struggles to spray passes in all directions in tight spaces. I think Kevin will eventually push Mata out on the wing or beside him. That's just a feeling I get.. !
  20. I was thinking exactly that! Josh was passing into pockets of space with ease whilst MvG was struggling to go forward. That's the thing I love about Joshy's game is that he always looks to go forward with fast and decisive passing that unlocks doors and turns defences inside and out.
  21. I nearly chocked on my foot long meatball subway when I read this post. Not as creative as Oscar and Mata!!! You are going to be pleasantly surprised by what Kevin can do with a football once he has fully intergrated in our team this season.
  22. Couldn't agree more. His natural ability to keep rhe ball moving and pick a pass is Xavi-esk! I have said it a 1000 times before and I will say it a 1000 times again, give Joshy a chance and he will show thst he is worthy of becoming a starter for Chelsea.
  23. I can expect for him to hold this kind of form in the Premier League actually. You say not forever but not one football player who has ever existed can hold a top level of football forever. We are calm but we are very excited at how improved and impressive KDB looks in our team. I'm expecting for KDB to become one of our most influential players this season and for many seasons to come. I would go as far to say that he will become of the best players in the world under Mourinho.
