  1. Haha, the post was directed at Cap who was slating JT. Maybe I should have quoted him to prevent any misunderstandings.
  2. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7700376/Terry-I-let-team-down
  3. He did issue an apology later to all the fans and his teammates for letting them down so what the fuck is the problem here?
  4. Kompany definitely one of my favorite players outside Chelsea and what a man he is off the pitch too. A shame he's playing for City though.
  5. Like Sh0n3x I can't go out without my glasses if the sun is shining, gives me a massive headache. Then again, in Finland the sun rarely shines.
  6. Breaks my heart to think Drogba will soon be moved to the "Ex Blues" instead of current squad.
  7. Option three. Cheap beer in Eastern Europe. :eyebrows: Women there aren't bad either.
  8. Terry clear man of the match today but Gerrard gets all the credit just for "assisting" that goal which actually took three deflections from the Ukrainians before reaching Rooney. I even heard some cunt slating Terry for letting the ball cross the line but in fact he saved a certain goal. Of course it was over the line but he couldn't have done any more and to even succeed in that clearance is incredibly hard. How fucking biased can people be? The vast majority of England supporters don't deserve to have a player like JT in their team but still he is always proud to represent his nation. Most would have retired from international football already if they were in Terry's position.
  9. He was invisible but to be fair to the lad there's not much more he could have done today when Spain was all about keeping possession and not even trying to play the ball to Torres.
  10. If Juve really offered £24m I would fly to London and drive Fernando to the airport myself.
  11. They beat us 1-3 at the Bridge last season, just saying.
  12. Yeah he's doing very well in the Euros, not just today. Hope we're not getting him though, already sick of those cunts at Porto playing hardball over transfers. Obviously not their fault and they have every right to try and get as much money as possible for their star players but Chelsea have given them too much already over the years.
  13. Earlier on Twitter I saw someone saying Van Der Wiel is just a taller version of Bosingwa with an extra eyebrow. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  14. Because they are / were quality posters and the forum will be a much better place with them posting here? Agree on the begging part though but still a shame if they're gone.
  15. Vertonghen's agent has said today that a move to Tottenham is very close. Now is this the point where we should talk shit about their club and question who really signs their players when they don't even have a manager at the moment?
  16. Luckily for us Hazard didn't think that way. I see a lot of you got all excited of those Desailly rumors. It's fine but just don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't happen (I did say there are no reliable sources yet).
  17. Rumors of Marcel Desailly coming back to Chelsea to take a role in Di Matteo's management team as a defensive coach. Wouldn't be against this but no good sources yet, just some shitty rumors on twitter.
  18. Nobody's shoving Ivanovic aside here, mate. I see absolutely no reason why a team could not have two good right-backs with them rotating quite a lot and if one of them get's injured then the other one gets to play even more. At least last season we had Bosingwa, a 29-year-old right-back who only a couple of years ago was a world class defender but still we nearly shat our pants when Ivanovic was unavailable and we had to play José. Now what do you think would happen if sometime next season Ivanovic was out for a longer period of time and we didn't even have Bosingwa and would then have to rely on Ferreira who hasn't been fit to play even one full match a week for a couple of years now or Hutchinson who, like I said before on this topic, only has 6 games of professional football under his belt? As highly as we all rate our academy product Hutchinson and Ferreira, a loyal servant to the club for 8 years now, I wouldn't be comfortable going into the season with only those two guys as a backup plan if Ivanovic got injured or if a couple of our centre-backs were unavailable and Ivanovic was needed there. If the manager's man management skills are good enough then he's more than capable of keeping two quality players happy and rotate the squad properly so that everyone who's good enough gets their chance to play. For example Real Madrid have Marcelo and Coentrao at LB and I rate both of them to be among the best left-backs in the world but I don't see either of them complaining about their playing time because Mourinho can handle both of them in the same team. And lastly, most of us certainly aren't that fickle (at least I hope so ) to want Debuchy just because he's done well for France in a couple of matches but because he's a world class player who has played well in Ligue 1 for many years now and played a large part in Lille's historical success in the last couple of years and with those merits played himself into the starting lineup of the French national team. Also for the prices quotes that's an absolute bargain and should be a no-brainer for the club if the player himself is willing to come. And why wouldn't he want to join the Champions of Europe?' edit: Bloody hell, Spike Spiegel pretty much wrote the same thing above and it was all for nothing.
  19. Torres was definitely not the second choice last season. He and Drogba played pretty much every game with one of them starting the match and the other one coming on as a substitute replacing the one who started. Of course Drogba was preferred as a starter in most of the bigger matches and that made him essentially "the first choice" at least in the eyes of the manager and the fans but Torres still got more minutes than him. Now if Torres is going to be the main man and does even remotely well I see no reason to sub him off every match at 60 minutes because that's simply not the way to go if you're going to have an undisputed first choice striker to lead the line. Or how many times do you remember Robin van Persie or Wayne Rooney get substituted last season? The only way for Sturridge to get at least an equal amount of playing time as Torres would be if Nando fucked up again badly but otherwise it's going to be him sitting on the bench and I couldn't imagine him being happy with it. If AVB is really going to Spurs I can honestly see Sturridge going there. They don't even have any good strikers now that Adebayor's gone after his loan and Defoe is shit. Could play in a wide role for them too. If that were to be the case I would hope we play as much hardball as we can and rip them off for as much as we possibly could. Maybe an exchange for Modric?
  20. Assuming he goes there and if (right now it's a very big if) Tottenham can convince their best players to stay despite the lack of CL football and maybe buy a couple more quality players I fear AVB will be very successful there. Players like Modric and Bale will be very good for his tactics and their full-backs aren't bad either. Shame if he's really going there, was hoping he would go to Italy or maybe Spain and I could have wished him all the best but if he's going to Spurs it's about as bad as going to Liverpool. Hope he fails miserably.
  21. Buying Debuchy and / or Cabaye would probably help Hazard settle in a lot quicker. Also quality players both of them.
  22. Including the preseason I only missed Wycombe, Everton (League Cup), Portsmouth (FA Cup) and Stoke (home game in the league). First three weren't even televised anywhere and the Stoke one I missed because I was on a flight to Düsseldorf at the time. During Everton and Portsmouth matches I sat on my computer though, listening to the live commentary on ChelseaTV so do they even count here?
  23. Because it was Di Matteo who got him the sack and it was fitting to mention it at the same time as announcing Di Matteo's contract.
