  1. Strange he didn't have problems at Bolton as a central forward with two defenders around him
  2. You lot can stop re-writting history Torres and Drogba did play together and you can rewatch our games when Carlo was incharge just to see it for yourself if you don't believe me. Drogba is a nice guy off the field, and that's all that these comments are - Drogba being nice.
  3. Torres was playing as a striker yet he insisted on not scoring goals. There are like at least 20 occasions in every match where he could create a chance for himself but he makes the wrong decision. If he ain't happy with his position or role in Chelsea FC then he should work harder trying to score. If he can't score goals than he should just leave hope you enjoy my hyperbole as well
  4. Pre-Injury not Pre-Chelsea, he was quite bad at Liverpool before he joined us. Torres at club level has the same number of trophies Sturridge does
  5. The only piece of shit is you, leave this thread because you are stinking the place up
  6. Done what exactly? Failed at Chelsea is the only thing Torres has so far done that I care about - as some people say you're only as good as your last match. You ask for us to play to Torres strengths yet slate 22year old player who has never played on the right wing and tell him to fuck off in his first season as a starter in Chelsea FC. We have given Torres a season and a half - you lot are talking about building a team around a player who most likely has his best years behind him and is quite injury prone. Its hypocrisy like this that makes me fume
  7. Nope, those stats are not misleading Torres has 350 minutes less in the League than Sturridge yet their stats in the EPL are: Torres: 32 Matches; 1904 minutes; 6 goals; 4 assists; 62 shots(23 on target); Sturridge: 30 Matches; 2269 minutes; 11 goals; 3 assists; 91 shots(32 on target); Torres had streaks of matches(beginning of season before being red carded and missing 3 games); during ANC where he was playing very regularly. His most productive games were Leicester City and Genk if you want to talk about misleading take a look at Torres stats without those two games - they are abysmal. In fact mid season I was thumping my head against a wall wondering why Torres and Drogba both were playing so regularly while Sturridge and Lukaku barely had 90 minutes up top. In the end Drogba's form and performance in big matches after the ANC helped us towards two trophies, Torres also improved but it wasn't something substantial.
  8. Torres despite being more talented player - according to you and playing up top for 46 games this season has 11 goals & 12 assists; Sturridge the "inferior" talent has 13 goals and 7 assists in 41 games. There is a difference between the two players Torres is at statistically the best years for a striker despite that he struggling with the pressure of being at Chelsea coming up with excuses for his poor form. Physically it's not the same player he was pre-injury he has had a "rough patch" for two years now and he was never really hitting form with Spain since their Euro Triumph despite having the best midfield behind him. Sturridge just played his first season as a starter/rotational player for Chelsea FC - in a position he has never played before, he was one of our best players up until December and faded badly after that. Despite all of this I can say that he had a good season for Chelsea FC and showed enough to warrant a proper run of games as a forward for Chelsea FC. Considering the patience that Torres has gotten and the mind boggling support despite statistically being the worse striker in Chelsea FC since Kezman you lot that are telling Sturridge to "Fuck Off" for some interview where he said absolutely nothing controversial should take a long look at yourselves.
  9. I personally don't see any scenario where Torres is back to his pre 08 form, but there are no absolutes in football. Sturridge has played two games up top for Chelsea FC this season, same case with Lukaku until they are given a similar run in the team to guys like Torres you cannot guarantee anything. If they are never given an opportunity to have a run up top than it's obvious they would fail by default.
  10. You lot can bugger off seriously especially you Rami with your absolute fellatio to Torres and slating Sturridge for an interview which he clearly didn't say anything controversial. The hypocrisy is starting to really get on my nerves. Read what he said and than go forth telling him to "fuck off" with a clear conscience is obvious none of you actually read the article
  11. Was impeccable in the Final, can't really comment on ruining him in the attacking sense - he cannot shoot for a long time that's one of the prerequisites of being a great attacking midfielder his passing has always been very good but it's very obvious he takes a back sit to Lampard and is told not to attempt a lot of risky passes or get forward when he gets the chance. He is quite disciplined and over the last few season has been good when given a run in the team - but was really a rock in our important games this season. RDM really brought out the best in a defensive sense out of Obi - happy he is able to get a Champions League medal even if he hasn't become the great attacking talent Nigeria was expecting.
  12. No because you pay no respect to Drogba; seem to harp on about Barca and Arsenal while the latter haven't won a title in god knows how many years and belittle what we have achieved saying we aren't one of the biggest club in the World until we play to some sort of standard only you seem to think is good enough. You also seem to think we played ugly football when Robben and Duff were around and Lampard was still in his mid 20s. If you want Chelsea to be something different than what it is, you want us to play to certain standard and that's the only way you'd view Chelsea is the one of the biggest clubs in the World you have your priorities out of order. I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT FOR ME CHELSEA FC HAS BEEN ONE OF THE TOP CLUBS IN THE WORLD IN THE LAST DECADE Not every club is privileged to have Xavi; Messi; Iniesta; Puyol; Pique; come up from the academy that sort of things happens once in a decade. While also having a 100 million TV Deal to sign up the likes of Dihno; Alves; Ibra; Deco; Villa etc etc Attractive football is in the eye of the beholder, I personally don't find Barca's style of hogging possession and not allowing the other team to attack all that compelling - performances like the one at the Bridge 4-2 for Chelsea are what really brings great joy to me. Even our Victory over Barca and the subsequent progression to the Final was absolutely fantastic and gripping football for me. I can say the same about Inter against Barca a few years ago - because things are always stacked heavily to favor Barcelona in the last few years.
  13. If you want to watch Arsenal and Barca you're more than welcomed to do so, I'm sure you can easily delete your account here and create one on an Arsenal or Barca forum. This bullsh*t you are saying about Drogba making the team play ugly without taking into consideration the players we had around since Robben and Duff left and Essien/J.Cole had their many injuries is starting to get on my nerves.
  14. It will be a sad, sad day that Drogba packs up his bags and leaves Stamford Bridge Behind - I would have been happy to have him here for another few seasons but I guess Drogba and the Management Team decided it's time for a change. I hope to see him back some day in the dugout he is an absolute LEGEND for Chelsea FC; The Premier League; and Ivory Coast and such a standout guy off the field just makes your proud that he is part of Chelsea History. I Thank you Drogba for all the great moments you have given me in the Blue Shirt and for bringing the biggest prize back to the Bridge You will always be a LEGEND I hope some day you decide to come back to London in a different role for Chelsea FC
  15. Just because you have a crush on Torres doesn't mean Drogba is a reason we played ugly - fact is since Robben and Duff left we have had very few good wingers, but anyone comes out telling me that we didn't play sexy football with Robben and Duff on the wings is mental. It's not Drogs fault we signed SWP; Malouda; Zhirkov; Kalou etc and all failed to replicate what Robben and Duff added from the wings. Hopefully in the summer we finally address this and buy a proper right winger with a bit of trickery; crossing ability and flair to make the side more balanced. With the current squad without a major 2 signings in the summer we'd be served more dross without the Big Man to make the difference and score his one chance per game. It's ludicrous to some of the revisions posters like you make - Drogba can play in a team that is all about flair and creativity as his first two seasons along side Robber; Lampard and Duff had shown. Torres is going to get his chance but if he falters again by October he would be back on the bench - no doubts about that. We probably already have a forward line up since Lukaku is going on loan and we would be left with only Torres and Sturridge. It's up to him to deal better with the pressure and prove himself good enough to play in big games the way Drogba did through out his carrier. In fact if he doesn't sort himself out by the winter he would be loaned/sold off to whichever team is willing to pay his wages. Good luck to Torres turning things around but personally I would not be confident having only him & Sturridge up top.
  16. This isn't Torres FC; Drogba is a Legend if management or the player decides to leave than that's that - right now I'd be ecstatic to have the Drog here for another season. Drogba is as much part of all our recent success as Terry & Lampard and he was the best player for Chelsea in nearly all ties we had in the knock out stages. Scored absolutely vital goals and scored the equalizer in the Biggest Game of Chelsea FC since Moscow. I can certainly say that Drogba was an inspiration whether he was defending against Barca or scoring against them and I have no doubt CL would have eluded us if he was unable to play in those matches. I have nothing personally against Torres, it's people who belittle club Legends for a guy who has done absolutely nothing at Chelsea. I wish he had kept his mouth shut after the CL final and realized the reason why he didn't start - it's not AVB; Carlo's or RDM's fault Torres has failed at Chelsea he must look within his own faults he had plenty of games and time to turn things around but instead he was largely ineffectual despite starting ahead of Drogba at the start of the season and than during the ANC. It's not Drogba's fault that Torres was inept and failed to capitalize on his absence or omission in the team. In the end despite having an awful season Drogba showed up in the biggest games for Chelsea FC this year proving once again that he is the men for such occasions - while Torres watched from the sidelines collecting his first trophies at club level as a substitute. One is Legend, the other is just another striker who hasn't worked out to the club's expectations. This season has shown many that putting all the eggs in the Torres basket might prove to be a huge gamle next season which I doubt we would take. If Didier decides to leave I fully expect another striker to be signed.
  17. You can seriously bugger off with Torres ... Drogba will decide when to leave not fickle **** like you Drogba is a Chelsea Legend - Won us the Champions League Torres ain't fit to lace his boots - even when Drogba is 34 he is infinitely better than Torres Guys like you just compound my dislike for Torres's treatment by some fans.
  18. Frankly, he can go bugger off some where, he was given #1 spot Drogba was shifted out and it's only his hopelessness that allowed the Big Man to rescue our season. Instead of asking for a clarification he should take a long look at himself, the support match going fans have given him is unmatched, the amount of time Carlo; AVB and RDM have given him is also frankly too much. With these type of comments after what was the greatest night of Chelsea FC History - hopefully people will realize how much more respect legends like Drogba deserve, how much support they should be given in their zenith after giving so much to the club. Torres you ain't nothing but another player through the Chelsea ranks, who you were at Pathetico and Looserpool is irrelevant - until you produce the type of Performances Drogba has in his time here.
  19. With Ashley Cole fit who would have though Ryan would be starting a Champion League Final :blue scalf: Do us proud Ryan
  20. It's not ideal but we don't have a choice
  21. Essien Will he ever be anywhere close to the monster he was for us a mare 3 years ago, doubt it
  22. Funky goal, Ramires again getting into the correct position to put it away.
  23. Absolutely horrendous at the back
  24. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Newcastle first and than we can think about the Scouse
