Spot on mate

Gave the comment section a piece of my mind

He basically never shoots, even when he has the chance he usually takes another touch so the defender have that extra second to close him down. Reminds me of Berbatov's first season at MU, where he would pass when he was in a better goal scoring position(maybe so Cronaldo likes him who knows) - but Berbatov still offered way more than Torres in the attacking department even though he never really became first choice at MU.

As I said previously Torres has until the winter transfer market to turn things around. My main concern is the insistence of him playing 90 minutes every game and being an automatic starter - he has not earned such a right and should be rotated with Sturridge. As much as I personally criticize Torres if he has 15 goals in all competitions(except the Club World Cup) and at least 7 winning goals by January I'd be happy with his contribution. If not he should be sold so we get his wages off our books even at a massive loss, because his value will continue to plummet and we would end up forking out his £ 9,100,000 per year until his contract is over. I'm not interested in excuses, these are the facts - we are the Champions of Europe and we have a striker who rarely gets into goal scoring positions, rarely shoots and rarely beats a defender. This is a major problem for the Club, we have put all of our eggs in the Torres basket he is being paid like a World Class player, yet all we hear is excuses. Well I'm tired of excuses, most of our fans are tired of excuses. It's unacceptable that we should have the worst striker in any Top Club in Europe - while paying him a fortune.
-
I don't want to see any of our players booed by the fans - still pissed off when they booed Sturridge last year, but the constant cheering for Torres will stop eventually.
-
No chance of this line up but I think it's our best bet to beat Juve: -------------Cech---------- Ivanovic--Luiz---Terry--A.Cole -------Ramires---Mikel---------- --------------Mata--------------- Moses-----------------Hazard -----------Sturridge------------ I watched them against Genoa and they really struggle when a team is able to transition quickly into attack so hitting them on the break would be the best option to win this game.

He was decent out there but obviously not at the form which we remember from him pre-injury. Provided he stays fit he could actually play quite a few games at Real - they lack the type of things Essien provides. Essien gets taken off, Real concede a goal - coincidence ?
-
Essien is going to play against Man Shitty
-
I swear if I see Ramires on the right wing again I'm going to get drunk before the game even begins.
-
And Torres isn't fucking strolling around 80% of the time?
-
If any other player that has no real status at Chelsea FC did that, I guarantee you we wouldn't hear the end of it until he is hounded out of the club. I've seen our players being booed by our fans for a lot less
-
Main thing is negative tactics by RdM instead of going with a more positive line up he had a very poor line up and his substitutions were left for far too late into the match. Moses was a positive when he came on and Hazard was pretty much the only other player creating danger although he did have two critical misses. Ramires right wing is a complete waste of one of our best performers last season; Lampard full 90 minutes when we have Oscar on the bench and finally Torres - that type of behavior after such a pathetic performance really shows what a diva we bought
-
80 minutes of Torres and 65 minutes of Ramires on the right side; full 90 for Lampard
-
So now we can't even sub Torres ?
-
MIKEL you must be fucking joking lad!
-
Cahill is going to come on
-
We have been absolutely awful in the second half, 70th minute Ramires and Torres still on the field.
-
We have been playing with far too little intensity only Bertrand and Hazard seem to have some drive about them when we go forward - but Ryan has been ineffective. I don't even know how much more I will need to watch Ramires being wasted on the right flank .
-
I don't understand why Ramires is once again wasted on the right
-
I think releasing Cole would be a big mistake, to me he has been the most consistent defender last season he just needs to be rested occasionally - so he doesn't burn out.

You know who is a douche, a douche are morons that boo our legends but chant Torres's name when he flicks his hair. Torres has done nothing for this club, Kalou has had more contribution toward the silverware we have won. Only difference is that a bunch of people continue to make excuses for Torres. Thus far he has been a flop on the same level as Andy Carroll. I don't dislike Torres personally - I just dislike people not call a spade a spade. Andy Carroll is currently on loan to West Ham. In the meantime Torres has been awarded a guaranteed spot in the first 11 after doing fuck all for 2 years. For me respect needs to be earned - thus far Torres hasn't earned any respect from me. Drogba fought Crespo to win it, Sheva; Torres & Anelka to keep it. There is a difference between supporting a player and putting a player ahead of what the club might need, the void that is Torres in the last 2 years has done more to hurt Chelsea FC than to enhance us or help us win things. If he wasn't signed for 50 million pounds he would already be trying to regain his form in sunny Iberia at a lesser club rather than playing as an automatic first 11 player for the Champions of Europe.
-
Are you kidding me, Torres doesn't read these boards and the support he gets at the Bridge makes me cringe - Didier Drogba didn't get that type of support. When I know these same fans have booed our players on a few occasions for performances that weren't as awful as some of the dross Torres has served up in a blue shirt. Also if Torres loses confidence because fans don't support him/ he has another striker to compete with/ he doesn't have players that can serve him up a perfect pass/ he doesn't have a coach that understand how to treat him/ he doesn't have a system that suits him/ than he is obviously a player that can never be successful at a club our size. Of course we are going to discuss him, same reason there is probably a super long thread in RAWK about Andy Carroll or about Berbatov in redcafe.
-
Nope he played a lot on the right wing actually, some of his best goals actually came from that position.
-
Sheva played a lot of those games on the wing, he didn't have the luxury of actually playing in his regular position - he was decent all things considered compared to Torres.
