He won't change his mind unless Dortmund change their wage structure, right now Lewandowski is making around 40k p/w less than Ba's wage at CFC.

You do realize Torres has been here for 34 months ? Lukaku had two sub appearances and people wrote him off - load of spastic comments, there is a reason I dislike Torres, because he represents everything wrong at the club and gets selected not based on form but based on how much we paid and how much he is earning. Otherwise he would have long lost his place in the Team to the likes of Sturridge and Lukaku. You try to have a little perspective, we have one of the best young strikers in the League and instead of playing an inform player we play Torres who has 1 GOAL in the EPL for the Calendar year thus far, and a semi retired player from Russia who might or might not be an upgrade over a player who has scored 1 GOAL in the EPL for the Calendar year thus far. It might be easier to score at Everton or Westbrom but it should not be as difficult as it's proving for Torres to score in the EPL at Chelsea. United/City/Arsenal also face teams that pack their own area doesn't mean that their strikers score 1 goal every 8 months in the League. Torres has 1 goal for the last 1358 minutes on the field for Chelsea Football Club in the EPL, Lukaku scores a goal ever 100 minutes - even if he scores less at CFC I don't see how he could not improve over Torres's pathetic record. Torres has played a total of 4721 minutes for CFC in the EPL since arriving scoring a goal ever 314.74 minutes that's worse than a 1/3 record, spanning over 3 seasons. So please when you talk about the crap Torres is getting by supporters ask yourself what he was signed for, take a look at Berbatov's record at United a player who was deemed not good enough for them and they went on to sign RvP - Berbatov's record at United blows Torres out of the water. With his record in the EPL wit us Torres would be lucky to be playing in a mid level EPL club and would only be a first choice striker at a relegation threatened team. Arsenal would have bitten our hand if we offered them Lukaku on loan, they'd probably laugh and ask if we are joking if we offered Torres.
-
Spot on, when you are 6 games into the season your forwards have scored fewer goals than Mikel serious questions need to be asked. We still have the biggest flop of English football playing regularly for us and a semi retired Eto'o - Ba is only here because we don't want to strengthen Arsenal
-
No strike force consisting of Torres is lethal
-
I feel insulted by people saying that it's more difficult to score for us than Everton or Westbrom, making it sound like it's an easy thing for a player to score at those teams despite the fact that other than Benteke; Lukaku and Sturridge over the last 2 years there has been not a single young striker at any of the lesser clubs in the EPL scoring loads of goals. Simply put Lukaku; Sturridge and Benteke are the best young strikers in the League and can easily be compared with the top dogs(RvP; Rooney; Kun; etc). The problem stems that CFC doesn't trust youth and prefers to flog a dead horse as opposed to actually giving Lukaku some game time.
-
Next summer I fully expect our board to sell him so Torres doesn't feel threatened
-
Lukaku should have been here playing every match - to think we got a flop like Torres who's best performances in ages consist of zero goals; zero assists and a red card and Eto'o who hasn't even got a goal since joining while we loan out Lukaku a player who last season scored more goals than Torres in 2 and half years in the EPL at CFC.
-
I though his assist for the second goal was real quality myself, the goal he got was lucky to be given. Took a daft touch to get that Gerrard pass under control on the wing and he beat the defender when he cut in inside the box and just fired it with the outside of his boot at the direction of Luis Suarez. I know if Torres had done the same and Oscar and Shurrle had scored and Torres scored his one on one a few here would be jizzing themselves for months. Well Sturridge actually got two assists and a goal on Sunday and didn't just play well with nothing to show for it other than a red card. He is the captain of my FF Team so won me quite a bit of points with that MOTM performance
-
It's not about being violent enough bitch slapping an opponent is also a 3 match ban and it won't leave scratches unless you have a pimp ring on the finger. When you place your hand on an opposition player's face you're asking for trouble - if Vertonghen had done a Busquets and rolled about Torres could have been send off without even scratching him. It was an act of stupidity and if an opposition player had done it and not gotten send off I'd be livid and fuming.
-
Kenny the same person who spend Torres cash on Carroll; Downing; Allen and Henderson, compare that to what Tottenham bought with the Bale money. The only thing they really have to worry about is the fact that their central midfield looks ordinary and they don't have many options there and also keeping their key players - Suarez/Sturridge/Coutinho injury free. Their defense is fine; attack is fine; attacking midfielders are fine. Liverpool will do well especially against direct rivals since they are actually better when not having much possession and when they rely on counter attacking football, I expect them to finish in the CL spots - don't really see how they can challenge for the title with that central midfield thought. Rogers has done a lot to clear out the deadwood at Pool, and although not all his signings have worked out he has made Liverpool a lot better than they were by the end of the King Kenny implosion

At least try to capitalize and use punctuation when you do it
-
He played two full matches last season and scored one goal, maybe based on his two sub appearances we should sell Lukaku too ?
-
He was our top scorer in the League for 2011/2012, yet you call him worthless crap while at the club, one of our best players under AVB with Mata and Ramires was not played much under RdM and Carlo. He had as many goals in the EPL as Drogba and Torres combined that year. Refrain from posting crap please
-
We didn't even make 12 million quid from the deal Man City got 25% of the transfer fee, could have stayed if he was not frozen out during RdM's reign and his unfortunate injury, just as RdM grew tired of Torres and got the sack. It's certainly looking like the worse piece of business we have done as far as out going transfers are concerned, specially when Torres/Ba/Eto'o are no where near the level needed to score constantly in the EPL for us while Sturridge scored for us while being played out on the wing.
-
I've not got an idea what you're saying - not sure why you are trying to correct me when you obviously have about difficulty as me when posting
-
Drogba also had huge performances in his first two seasons here(just recall his match against Liverpool where he literally tore them apart) and that won him the place up top ahead of Crespo. I'm pretty sure if we had RVN here Drogba would have out performed him in our system too. RVN still remains one of the best strikers in the EPL but probably would not have been as successful here as he was in United.
-
He might be very good doesn't make him better than the players I mentioned. Scoring is his main job, having Torres around made a lot of people forget what a striker's actual job is and all the players I mentioned are far more consistent over the course of the last 14 months than Geroud. Despite all of them being younger and still developing Benteke 38 appearances 23 goals Lukaku 36 appearces 18 goals Sturridge 20 appearances 15 goals Geroud 40 appearances 15 goals
-
Geroud better than Sturridge, you're having a laugh Based on Arsenals purple patch you might want to say we should have signed Ramsey too, Geroud is no where near proven in the EPL. Benteke Lukaku and Sturridge are both better and far more proven EPL players. Tell me how many goals Geroud has against us; City; United; Liverpool and Spuds? Lukaku; Benteke and Sturridge have actually performed in such matches and produced motm performances. Geroud seriously what a load of crap
-
I don't know what has happened to Hazard but a game or two on the sidelines might do him good, just not clicking at the moment passing is off; dribbling ineffective; decision making questionable.
-
He got booked to his reaction after the "trip", if he had decided to walk away instead of getting into the whole incident and Vertongen's face he would not have gotten a yellow, he was lucky not to get red carded at that point for his stupidity the ref didn't see the scratch obviously. He booked him for making something out of nothing.
-
The Amazing Torres, now imagine him scoring a hat trick in the EPL and wake up But fair play to him those 25 minutes in the second half are about as good as we've seen him play since his Liverpool days, could have had two assists and a goal but got send off instead.
-
Jose should have taken him off after his second tassel with Vertonghen, he could have been send off after that incident
-
Jekyll and Hyde Torres performance 1) Looses the ball, opposition scores 2) Spends first half running away from the ball 3) Best player on the pitch in the second half 4) Tries to scratch opposition with claws 5) Gets unjustly send off
-
Mata needs to come on for Lamps and Eto'o for Torres
