In other news, Rodwell to City!
-
I agree with that, but for the early stages of the season i think Moses will start on the right while Oscar is adjusting to league Early stages i reckon it'll be Hazard Mata Moses And then as soon as he gets up to speed then Oscar replaces Moses and Moses and Marin become are alternatives for the attacking mid positions.

Mirror are saying it's a done deal and we've managed to get him for 9m
-
I wonder how many pages this thread will get too by September 1st. Think this will run for a while in the media

ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer Jose Alberti, market broker: "I'm sure, I was not wrong for Lavezzi Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva and I will not be mistaken for Cavani" Jose Alberti, market broker: "I repeat, Cavani will go to Chelsea not in this session but the market in January 2013" #CFC (Calcio)

Studio Sport is saying that the Napoli guy wants to replace Cavani With Rossi and Pazzini
-
This is the type of game where i'd want to see Ramires play on the right because there are sure to be gaps in the City defence with them attacking us. Going from pre-season, i'd play: Cech Ivanovic Cahill Terry Cole Essien Mikel Ramires Hazard Marin Torres Was tempted to put in Mata, but Hazard and Marin have already developed some chemistry and so i'd like to see that. Bring on Mata at 60

As reported in Sports Studies, Aurelio De Laurentiis had decided to sell Edinson Cavani. Moreover, the deal "top secret" with Chelsea is already well underway and sources close to the English club that is a known fifa Italian, on behalf of the President of Naples, is trying to conclude the passage of the "Matador" to clubs Abramovic. The "Blues" have already submitted an initial offer of 30 million, too little for De Laurentiis, who has asked for this to work for a broker to deal with the fear that was discovered just before the Super Cup. The Chelsea in the next few days should revive and visit a few days ago the patron blue to Cardiff in the withdrawal of Uruguay, would not give the desired results. Finally the player, after the robbery he suffered some time ago his wife, certainly would not object to a possible move to London with an overlap of about twice the current one. If Chelsea will raise the bar on 35/40 million and the deal goes through, the Naples will give the assault on Pazzini, on which, however strong the Juventus. Just the Bianconeri, who have long followed the Uruguayan striker, will move? - Studio Sport (google translated)

But there's still a good chance that we could sign Hulk. But we'll see anyway
-
The guardian disagrees with you about the whole Hulk thing. If hulk did become available at 30m, then there's still a good chance we could sign him as a CF as that is what his position was until avb took charge
-
Why? We're probably still working hard to bring in a top class striker as we won't go into the season with Torres, Sturridge and Moses as CF's when two of them have never even played as a lone striker before. Moses will be a very good and clever signing though
-
Silva and Balotelli are unlikely to play
-
Its not an excuse, its just a fact. If pre season was about results, then you'd see every team put out a full strength team for every game but players like Meireles, Torres, Luiz and whoever else joined later all need to get fitness to be on par with the rest of the squad. Its not hiding the fact that it was a bad performance because yeah it was shocking, but you can't make predictions, start writing off managers from these friendlies because the main focus isn't the result
-
As i just said, its not about better selections, its about your WHOLE squad having full match fitness and being ready to go for the season
-
The way this place is, i won't be surprised if we win the Community Shield and people will start saying that we're gonna win the league. I'll only start getting worried about next season and Rdm if we get a humbling from City next week. To claim Rdm is tactically incapble or whatever after some pre season fixtures is ridiculous. If you were to ask the players how many of them really cared or were worried about losing today, i guarantee they'd probably say know. As fans we may not realise, but the most important thing for them is getting there fitness up to scratch and avoiding any injuries. Not the result
-
City just lost to oldham 2-1
-
So he hasn't shown you anything to make you want to watch next season? What about the 5-1 against Spurs, 4-1 against Napoli, 6-0 against QPR? Just give the guy a bloody chance
-
So RDM isn't the right man for the job after 5 pre season games? Some people
-
With meireles behind the striker, don't expect nice football
-
What do you want accomplish this season? I want to continue to win trophies. That is what I want to do if I join Chelsea.
-
Not been his best game
-
Oscar will only be good for us if we get some movement from our other forwards. Luckily I think we'll be good at it next year. He's played some great diagonals so far
-
Playing for brazil at the moment. Game just started
-
I think people have to remember also is that it's not as though we've completely changed our whole starting 11. Our football, tempo and way we pass the ball is not all of a sudden gonna be faster and improved. We came 6th for a reason. Judge when we have everything together. Notice how when Marin comes on and he plays with hazard, we look at whole lot better. You can't judge how next season will go or even how robbie will do from those 4 games, not only because they have no significance and aren't competitive, but also for that reason that we don't have all of our players. It's all well and good saying 'I want to see better passing in this game' but when we're playing the same group of players from last year, it's not all of a sudden gonna better. Please just hold judgement
