I realize that. There's no way that he would fit in this squad. My post was more in shock really that a.) Arsenal would recognize a great talent like him, and b.) Stevan would end up in the EPL as it had seemed Fiorentina were destined to hold on to him. But also, who knows maybe this campaign made them realize they need to spend big? If so, Jovetic was a good pickup.

I have always loved this lad, and had wished that in some way shape or form he would end up in the CFC blue but is seems it wasnt meant to be, after the signings of MAZACAR last summer. As much as i would hate to say it, Arsenal (assuming they have agreed to terms for him) will have gotten a real special talent. The guy is immense. As i have always said whenever regarding Stevan, he just makes things happen. Runs right at defenders, has a brilliant shot, great technical skill and reminds me a mini del piero. Hope he doesnt go to them though.....

I dont think its whether he's good enough, i think it comes down to his playing time. Do we really want to bring him back and see him play 4th fiddle to Ba and Torres and the new ST we seem likely to buy? If we could dispatch Torres or Ba then i would entertain the though, but not if he's playing 4th choice. And before i get the Utd comparision, they could do that. Becaise all of their strikers had PL experience for years. I wouldnt advise us to carry lukaku on board as 4th choice as he's only 19, and the stuff he can learn about himself, his play style and the PL on loan for one more year is vital. I would hope after next season (given that he performs even better) Lukaku would be given that fair chance in our squad.

Word. I used to always be of the notion a smaller squad (not as small as this years, but still smaller) is the way. It keeps players playing and eventually different players will step-up at different moments given their chances of lots game time. Players aren't compelled to go OTT once given their chance as more would surely come along (A la Moses) but this year was not the year to this, especially as we were in the midst of a transition. Essin and Mierles would have definitely offered great cover at times (not superb MOTM moments like some are thinking essien would have had, but cover none-the-less). But whatever man, this years behind us and I just don't want us to go through THAT any time soon.

Still think that Oscar or KDB can be that DLP. We've already seen Oscar's knack for defending/tracking back and KDB has an array of passing,, all in all I just dont think that Pjanic can fit into this team. Still a great talent though.

@Hutcho, agree. But also it can set us up to win the Champions Cup which i was really really mad that we lost (especially the way we did) Damn you Falcao! And also-- Spuds, Man City, Man Utd all were in this competition and all crashed out. Dont think they have ever won it right? We truly are a Cup team (that also challenges for league titles) and I absolutely love that about us! We can be assured one cup Finale each and every season and although this year we missed out on FA Cup and League Cup by narrow, unfortunate events, i think the EL will be ours. Bar anything about how we beat Benfica last year or that, i just cant see CFC failing in another Cup finale, not again. I feel very good about this game! Lets Fuckin Do This Lads! :blue scalf:
