He actually had a poor game. The kid needs rest, he's played far too many matches over the last 2 years. We're just increasing the odds of him suffering an early burn-out in his career if it carries on like this.
-
Shame his technique is still so poor. Not only his ball control or first touch but his shooting & passing technique are both laughably poor. He's scoring goals on his pace/aggression/strength alone. He needs to expand his arsenal even further if he's ever going to succeed at the highest level. Not every team will leave themselves vunerable on the counter.

Some absolute weapons on here. I'm out.

Please die. How do you block posters?

Oscar wtf
-
Need a sub.

Benteke, Adebayor and now Ribery. Standing off World class players.
-
What the hell was that by Cahill? Close him down Jesus Christ.
-
Cech lol. Wow
-
Lukaku isn't playing!!!!!! Back the team and the players.
-
Transition passes. Mikel, Essien & Van Ginkel aren't capable of playing them. Only alternative would be playing Oscar there but we'd lose a lot defensively playing Mata at the #10 against the big teams.
-
These Belgium fanboys are getting irritating now. Lukaku will eventually get his chance. KDB got his and didn't perform. Will have to wait for another.
-
Good defensive performance. Schurrle, Oscar have put in decent shifts and even Hazard has come leaps and bounds in his defensive discipline/understanding. One thing I've noticed is a lot of the 50-50's are being won by Bayern players tonight. Luck or better fitness? Just need another decent counter attacking opportunity in the 2nd half looks like Bayern might concede another. Essien/Mikel for Lampard and Lukaku for Torres depending on the circumstances.
-
Disgusting he didn't come on. He would scored today. For starters he wouldn't have given the ball away like pretty much every other player did today and he's usually are best player in the big games. Move Oscar to CM and Mata behind the striker.
-
Vintage performance. Can't believe he was 3rd choice under Rafa.
-
Mata, Mikel and Torres on please. Lampard, De Bruyne and Ramires off.
-
The guy has an agenda against Mata. Ignore him.
-
I'll blow my load if that "second signing" is Christian Eriksen. No idea why we haven't already moved for him.

Ronaldo is extremely skillful but a great dribbler? He definitely isn't/wasn't. Being skilful player and being a great dribbler isn't the same thing. Ronaldinho is ten times more skilful than Messi for example but he's not in the same class when it comes to dribbling. Ronaldo's dribbling style is all pace and power. A great dribbler relies more on his close control and body feints eg Messi, Figo, Iniesta etc
-
The article wouldn't have been published by "Sportsmail Reporter" if there was an ounce of truth in that piece.
-
Still think Torres is a poor dribbler?
-
He was never that good as a dribbler, he just thrived on PL defenders who dived in on him and he could escape. Whenever someone stood up to him or had him beat for quickness and speed (like Ash) then they constantly owned him. Just like now, Dani Alves is just as quick and is as tencious a defender as there is, so he cant just blow by him. So you were already mad and jelly to begin with? That explains it then. If you're so bitter that you can't admit Torres was a fantastic dribbler in his peak then you have serious problems lol. Torres not scoring a "fucking tap-in" is more to do with his drastic loss of confidence rather than ability. Class is permanent and all that.
-
Is there really a need to revise history because of him failing at Chelsea? Anyone who seriously thinks Drogba or Malouda were better dribblers than Torres in his peak is incredibly deluded. Lmao. Ronaldo can't even beat a man these days. He's never been a great dribbler. Skillful? Yes! Great Dribbler? Never! All about pace and power. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3JUdryT9zI There are least 20 World Class individual goals in that video. Not a great dribbler my arse.
-
Torres 07-09 was easily the best dribbler in the League before the injury he suffered a few months before the World Cup. Even at Chelsea he's shown some faboulous pieces of skill.
-
Between Sturridge and an on form Torres. What Ramires does really isn't dribbling IMO. His pace and acceleration makes it easy for him to get past players who are already diving in but he struggles to beat a man when he's on one one. A fit and confident Torres is unstoppable with his feints/turns. He's lost his pace/confidence & gained weight so we'll probably never consistenly see that Torres again sadly. Sturridge is the one player in our squad who I'm confident will beat his man 90% of the time. The good news about Sturridge is he hasn't even tried half the things he's capable of so far this season. EDIT: As for Mata, I actually think he's very good at beating players, if someone could find the stats for this sort of stuff I'm pretty sure his dribbling accuracy would be higher than most players in the League. He just doesn't do it very often.
