I used to take the piss out of Liverpool for signing a wooden-legged club record flop. Fast forward 7 years and we are on the verge of signing that same, but older and crippled, flop.
-
Something tells me we'd be better off finding someone who can finish with his feet, but who am I to know...
-
Calm down guys, those Sanchez rumours are planted so we can go low profile for Andy Carroll without competition from Barcelona or PSG.
-
It's from 6 July 2015 like the caption says. We will wait until he is worth 100m, then not be interested anymore.
-
Don't think so, but it is the likeliest explanation judging by our drastically degraded transfer activity after announcing stadium rebuilding plans.
-
The club doesn't have money for it. This is the reality, we can't pay over our capabilities.
-
Are there any good articles or posts dissecting the pros of this deal and how it would be good for us? Usually there are well opinionated analyses from both sides, or has everybody in this case just been like "wtf"? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Even West Sham want to get rid of him permanently, lmao, this tells you everything.
-
Sane reminds me of what I'd hoped Willian to be.
-
Wow man, you talk so much crap. The fact you had to bring up his hair transplant to make some kind of point (what was the point anyway?) renders your post crap.
-
They are not identical players. Baka is hopeless defensively and overall. Kante is Messi compared to him. Baks should just get career ending injury and fuck off!
-
GTFO you piece of shit.
-
Doesn't matter. Why did Bakayoko survive before him? This is my question. Do we have a higher change winning with Bakayoko than Hazard? Honest answer pls.
-
We need some answers. Why did the fraud Bakayoko survive 90 mins while our game-changer Hazard didn't? Not acceptable, this is on Conte.
-
Bakayoko is League 1 level, not even Championship. Why is he on the field and not Hazard? Nobody will ask Conte that of course.
-
So Hazard and Fab were replaced in 58th minute while Bakayoko keeps playing 90 even when shit (not only this game)? It's getting harder and harder to defend Conte.
-
Are we playing better without them?
-
Did GC, Hazard and Cesc get injured? Just started to watch the game.
-
Yup, probably his wage is putting us off having just offered Hazard ~300k, we can't pay Sanchez more. Either that or there have been signals from his camp that he's not interested in joining us. What is his wage at Arsenal anyway? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Hindsight smarts. Who's to say we wouldn't be saying the same about Tuchel in hindsight?
-
We said the same about AVB. No he wouldn't, we don't have the players for it and our transfer policy doesn't suggest a change in direction either. Last season was some of the most attacking I have seen Chelsea play, and it was under Conte. And it was more impressive considering he inherited a morally deprived team that had been taught to park the bus and nothing else for previous 3 seasons. Would your Tuchels and Sarris been able to do that? I severely doubt that, joga bonito idealists tend to be naive and leave the team exposed especially when there is not enough quality. Conte isn't an idealist, he's a perfectionist and will seek to make the team function with whatever means necessary and that is exactly what we need to make our board's laughable transfer policy work with success.
-
This fact is still hard to stomach for me. You buy a project and a mid-table player for that, while this could have been spent on one truly great player. If we hadn't signed Bakayoko, Matic would have possibly stayed... would we really have been worse off with Matic still here + a world class winger/wing-back? I say we'd be infinitely better, but such logic goes over the board's head. Instead we basically split Matic into 2 inferior players and paid £40m extra to do that. This is so fucking stupid I can't fathom it.
-
It's up to him. If he can prove himself and shows leadership, then why not. For example Eddie Newton praised him to the skies and has backed him to follow JT's path.
-
Plus I can't think of any upgrades on him. Conte is up there with the best, we can only go downwards with future appointments.

Those same people will later complain about our rotating door policy for managers.
