Why would that make negotiations harder?
-
Is it a given that he's staying? We had 2 strikers past two seasons (Costa, Bats; Morata, Bats/Giroud). We can easily go Morata and Giroud again, wouldn't surprise me.

It is true, that's why he needs a 'magician' in his teams, somebody who can do something on his own. Someone from our squad, maybe Eden himself, said that his main plan was "give it to Eden". There is a difference between cohesive freedom and chaotic freedom, he practises the last one. He is hoping Sanchez will be what Hazard was for him at Chelsea, but he looks painfully average in that disorganized setup. Makes me appreciate Hazard even more, he was playing at a high level despite Mourinho (although couldn't do it anymore in the meltdown season, nobody could).

Yeah, the past season midfield was our weakest position. We only had 1 player worthy of starting for us (Kante), now we have 3 with decent backups. Midfield is much stronger now and as a result the team is stronger because we haven't weakened in other outfield positions. Tottenham at the same time have stood still so we can definitely overtake them. Arsenal is a wildcard, will need to see how they play. Think we can now seriously challenge for top 4, maybe even the 3rd place.

Perhaps, but it's Huddersfield, they finished 16th last season. But true there are no easy games here. Kante is not human anyway, could make an exception for him.

Do you know what is the general vibe of Utd fans towards Mourinho now? I don't read RedCafe much, but my United supporter coworker, who was very much pro-Mourinho before, now wants him out.
-
They themselves wanted a quick fix for getting back to winning trophies or the title. Now that hasn't gone as planned, they are having second thoughts I think.

United learning from our mistakes.

Origin of quote? Can't find by googling. Sounds fake.

So we went and got our nr. 1 man whatever the cost, that's more like it Wonder if Alisson was our 2nd choice after Kepa, we bid but when we saw the money he went to Liverpool for, we went back to our first choice with a blank cheque and got him as the whole GK market circumstances had changed. The money was not that different and we approached the whole contract thing very smartly as well it seems.

This season could be when he establishes himself as a true B2B midfielder, not 'only' a destroyer who occasionally runs up. I believe this guy's ceiling and what he could do is even better than what we've seen so far. He has everything for it, one thing he hasn't had is a team that would play him this way.

Bench Willian and risk seeing him walk demonstratively straight to the tunnel after being subbed? You watch it before you get emoji'd out of a picture

I don't think Huddersfield had any players at the WC, so they will obviously be in far better physical shape than the players who just returned. Starting them so early is risky because they will fatigue quicker and that can also be an injury risk. Not to mention they aren't as up to speed with the tactics as the rest, so I think at this point it's best to use them in the 2nd half against tired opponents. CHO merits a start anyway imo, been the brightest player in every game. This game is too soon for Kepa and Kovacic to start too, the lads barely know where the loo is in Cobham. Caballero Azpi - Christensen - Rüdiger - Emerson Fabregas - Jorginho - Barkley Pedro - Morata - CHO

I think his ex would agree.

There were reports of bids. True, they were nowhere near 200mill. He may as well be pissed that we put such a high price on him, it's basically the same as not allowing to leave.
-
Djilobodji, Zappacosta, Alonso, Drinkwater isn't much of a history to be optimistic about tbh.
-
He did call for Chelsea to sign class players too, transfer deadline is already tomorrow so it's not happening and he knows it. So far we have signed only one class player (not even plural), and we haven't allowed him to leave even though everybody knows he wanted to. He knows he's stuck at a club with no ambition to match his. I'm sure he's not the happiest atm.

Could, should, would. Doesn't matter, they aren't. Unless Sarri does to them what he did to Mertens (only Hazard has that potential imo).
