Benayoun was one of the few, or perhaps the only player I liked from Liverpool... the other being Kuyt. Everytime he played against us I felt he was one of the main threats because of his movement, agility, team work and vision. He also has this great laid-back personality, concentrates fully on the football. He is a good addition to the squad, even as a backup player. Wish he was a bit younger though

The dude is very talented, has some rough edges, but it's understandable at his age and it will sort out as times passes and experience comes. I can see him as a long time replacement for Terry, with him and Luiz being our defensive spine in the future.

Exactly, my sig is made of that penalty celebration. Lamps is my favourite footballer ever... his intelligence, calmness, vision, passing, scoring... are legendary. The day he retires will no doubt be a sad day for me and I'm sure for most of Chelsea fans aswell.

Finally watched the game, and I liked what I saw. More determination from players to prove themselves, pressing and ball movement was better. I liked Sturridge, a real threat for the opposition defenders and an accurate finish with his right foot.

AVB already said he won't be building the team around one player, and I hope he won't. I hope the team comes first and if that means benching Torres, then so be it... The system must be a working and a winning one, I see no point in forcing something to benefit one player, but maybe not the team in general. A world-class player like Torres should be able to work in and adapt to different formations and different styles, if he can't do that, then maybe he isn't as class as people thought he was. Liverpool never looked like winning anything, even when Torres was on fire for them. For me team comes first, individuals come second... it's a pity that AVB will probably be forced to play Torres even when he sucks, because of the money spent on him and the marketing they get thanks to him.. so for the team's sake, I hope he turns out useful at least.
